Yesterday up to 2000 staff at Cardiff Uni received personalised emails from HR with our appointment numbers included, urging us to take voluntary redundancy. This dereliction of duty of care for staff wellbeing is awful. The sustained attacks on staff must end. Shame on you Cardiff Uni @ucu.org.uk

Ministers use diplomatic language to maintain relationships. It’s not something backbenchers need to do. But WG use language to indicate strong intent. The Minister’s statement & funding commitment is a shot across the bows of Cardiff Uni leadership. They are being closely watched 👇

Cardiff Uni staff took another stand today. We (Cardiff UCU) called open staff meeting. 500 in attendance, all (bar 3) voted to release motion of no-confidence in uni exec & VC. The overwhelming support for the motion speaks volumes of the current mood. @ucu.org.uk @welshgovernment.bsky.social
