The Tre Holleman portal news hurts me as much as any Spartan fan, but he could come back so if you’re bashing him keep that same energy if he does, and if he doesn’t? Well, the kids got one more year to maximize his earning potential. I don’t blame him.

What I'd like said about Jaden Akins is that, after a few years of middling records, and exclusion from the more exciting ends of college basketball, Akins wrestled Michigan State back to where it belongs: High seeds, Big10 championships, and inclusion at the top of the sport. A god damn hero.

Grew up a diehard Elway fan. In 1996, he finally had a team around him (and Terrell Davis). The 1-seed Broncos suffered a loss like this to a young Mark Brunell and the Jaguars. It was deflating. World-ending, I thought. Denver came back and won the next two Super Bowls.
