For the record, I love Bob Melvin. He liberated us from Bob Geren!

🚨Mason Miller is pitching the 9th🚨 #athletics

FYI: Las Vegas Aviators are playing in the free game of the night on milb dot TV. Mason Barnett, the pitcher #athletics got from KC in the Erceg deal, is starting. ALSO NICK KURTZ

Hey, it’s #athletics RP José Leclerc in a high leverage situation

ALL ME #athletics www.mlb.com/video/jordan...

#athletics SP Osvaldo Bido removed from game, turned to high five his infield defense and no one was there. I love this amalgamation of goofballs

Color commentator Dallas Braden saying “…rep the 9-1-6” in these #athletics ad reads hearts my heart, man

🚨JJ BLEDAY BAY BAY🚨 It’s his ONLY bit I like. #athletics (Yes, I know where it’s from!)

Traveled to Oakland a lot last year and Felina’s “I’m here. I know I’m early” texts while I’m still working on my skin care regimen upstairs in my hotel room is something I miss

Second straight start for #athletics SP Osvaldo Bido in which he hasn’t pitched well, but kept the opponents from a big inning. Seems unsustainable! Like his hairline! I’M allowed to make that joke!

Don't care how many home runs Soderstrom has racked up. He'll have to hit 80 to absolve his soul #athletics

This is one of those "baseball things" I stopped trying to explain to casual fans. Between this and the infield fly rule, I just shrug and say

The irony of him coming out to “Gold Digger” and then proceeding to get $5.5 million for doing nothing.

🥳 🎉 🪅 🎊 🍺 🍻 🥳

M'man's last sentence here is the one we need to have an honest conversation about. For example, San Diego is unequivocally NOT a pro basketball town. Every iteration big and small has failed. There are some VERY specific reasons for this, but are we SURE Sacramento could/can support MLB?

#athletics are at least *positioned* to win over Sacramento IF Vegas goes south. Could be a fringe contender as early as 2026, ticket prices will almost assuredly drop next year (they already have!), take on the city name and another offseason to improve the park experience.

I would have put the city's chances at zero before John Fisher & Vivek Ranadivé did their shitbag hug of solidarity. Not much higher than that (albeit non-zero) before the season started and now? Back to zero

All of these things are objectively true! But, if the locals don't support this team (and, why would they?!) they ain't getting an MLB team.

The Spencer Strider posts on my timeline from my favorite female follows has my out-of-shape self feeling some kinda way

Back the 1980s, tickets for this section were stamped with "NO ALCOHOL" and "NO PROFANITY"

Lapsed #athletics fans are dunking on this - and, it's weirdly all over the place - but, the headline isn't wrong. Not saying anyone should support this franchise, but Sacramento's flickering hopes for an MLB team aren't helped by the understandable local disinterest www.sacbee.com/opinion/arti...

First time in Kansas City (2007ish), I walked up to ticket window and asked how much for the cheapest seat. Was told "two dollars". Ask what was most expensive. Was told $32. Sat right next to Buck O'Neil legacy seat that night!

Why is it the rule that if you spill coffee it must land on your boob?
