M'man's last sentence here is the one we need to have an honest conversation about. For example, San Diego is unequivocally NOT a pro basketball town. Every iteration big and small has failed. There are some VERY specific reasons for this, but are we SURE Sacramento could/can support MLB?

#athletics are at least positioned to win over Sacramento IF Vegas goes south. Could be a fringe contender as early as 2026, ticket prices will almost assuredly drop next year (they already have!), take on the city name and another offseason to improve the park experience.

First time in Kansas City (2007ish), I walked up to ticket window and asked how much for the cheapest seat. Was told "two dollars". Ask what was most expensive. Was told $32. Sat right next to Buck O'Neil legacy seat that night!
