It is so often the case that those whom the powerful frame as the weakest in our society have the greatest capacity for courage, strength, and integrity, because had they not developed these qualities, they never would have stood a chance.

I feel like none of our cis lawmakers have even a thousandth of the fortitude any public facing trans person has, or they'd be like "death threats? Yeah, sorry, moving on, I'm serious about what I meant."

Congrats @onceuponageek.bsky.social , once again, for not only putting out a great episode, but for being Correct! Despite what the usually more correct Mr O'Malley said, Johnny Thunder did in fact, twice on one page, specify that Bahdnesia was an island!

The answer I keep coming back to is to be visible. To use my body and my dance to express the joy and sorrow and pain and hope that comes with being trans. We exist and we always have existed ๐ณ๏ธโโง๏ธ

I personally think preventing abusers is about preventing abuse which happens by holding each other accountable and calling in and out people who do things like sexually and racially harass others inste of scaremongering about how woc should not talk about racism

The idea that you shouldn't be able to transition 'until you have fucked a woman, so you know what you are giving up' is so repulsive to me that I genuinely struggle to put it into words.
Some of the people who think they are my allies are more dangerous to me than people who hate me, for real.
