Would love to have been in a race with this city side previous two seasons.

Atmosphere shit. Performance shit. Frustration from the crowd seeping out a little towards the players, the majority of whom don’t deserve it and will be just as pissed off about the fact we’re trying to win the league without a centre forward.

That tackle……arghhhh. Crucial. But you can see the nerves there a little and that should be the easier game out of the three they face this week.

Virgil van Dijk got away with telling the ref he’d lost the plot the other night.

Patrick Barclay - the best?

Cali left back, Myles pushed further up. Leo as the 9. Ethan off the right.

Jamie Carragher quiet as a fucking mouse. Not peep about Liverpool or Arnie Slots behaviour. He has the power & platform to drive the national footballing debate but he doesn’t want negative press to destabilise Liverpool. Kinda proves he thinks this stuff has an impact & that’s why he’s silent.

Any journalists calling out the way Slot tried to intimidate the finest referee we’ve got?

Up the cool detachment.

Two point deduction please.

A real iconic moment for Everton. Amazing.

Will a club ever be docked points again for a brawl?

Pickford didn’t fancy diving then.

Brilliant.

They’ll always have that first leg.

Much preferred Sunday. Felt it meant more to Newcastle going into the two legs and think that’s showed, especially tonight. Quite naive to be so open so early. Saliba rattled. Ø miss. Raya mistake. Havertz frustrating.

Had to ask myself who the fuck Tony Scholes was…. Former Chief Executive of…. Stoke City. Fuck off Tony.

In which Carragher and Neville revel in Haaland's behaviour on the pitch. Funny how, when it's Gabriel and MLS dishing it out, the story changes. www.skysports.com/football/vid...

Transfer window. I just hope that Arteta is calling the shots and still feels he has the backing. If it’s his call to wait, it’s more palatable than failings higher up.

Chelsea winning good for Project Isak.

So many positives from a wonderful night. Raya, two massive saves first half. MLS simply too good, even before the goal. Outrageous talent. Midfield superb, all three of them. So good to see Ø back on form. Partey immense. Rice too. Leo and Martinelli have really stepped up last few weeks.

Whoever started that off will be feeling pretty proud of themselves tonight. Brilliant.

“Erling Haaland, stay humble you c*nt” is my favourite chant of all time.

That was so much fun. I've waited ages for us to pump that lot and it proved to be immensely satisfying. 57,000 people singing "Stay humble you cunt" off the cuff is truly the stuff of football crowd dreams.

Cathartic.
