It’s so annoying because you already lose 6 months of passport validity so if I had known it was a choice between renewing my passport 9 months early or paying for an ESTA twice 😫

That might be literally in your neighbourhood, or your local reps/councils, or country wide. For me that’s being more tapped in to the EU. Because no matter how hopeless it can all collectively feel, there are things that need your attention and for you l, specifically you, to fight for 💞

Just as a note, it’s so easy to get caught up in the overall awful (especially with the current state of the US, and being in US spaces, with friends in the US, and a lot of news being focused on the US) but we especially need to make sure we don’t miss what’s happening on our doorsteps

Pod Save the UK: an obvious one but Coco and Nish are hysterical and thoughtful and they mostly don’t piss me off like the PODSA guys have been doing recently. They’re also sensitive to listener feedback (like their Cass report episode) which I appreciate podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/p...

Corner Späti: Excellent podcast focusing on European political news. I didn’t realise how uneducated I was about what was going on outside the UK until I started listening. They did a Transfuture crossover, and are now a must listen podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/c...

Trashfuture: Such an incredibly smart and funny group of people talking about both the main stories and things you haven’t heard about, both in the US, Europe, and around the world with a tech slant. Also ft one of the best Trump impressions I’ve ever heard podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/t...

Anyway she also said ‘as somebody who feels exhaustion really deeply’ and I thought that was an interesting thing to say about me
