I struggle with darker narratives lately, as I feel inundated with darkest narratives around the present world. I cannot believe we are destined for the worst outcomes in life and fiction.

I'm in a coffee shop and I heard a cover of what I determine is a perfect song. So perfect, in all my ttrpg worlds it exists, because I believe it has to come to be in all realities. I feel bad, because I feel nothing but disgust for the cover... it violates the original song.

Failure isn't a choice in the sense that the players should choose wrong, it's a choice in that you should provide motivation for your players to want to fail. Give them a reason to abandon their assumed quest. Not every game. But at least twice.

I joined the 1,000lbs club last Saturday, and I've been riding that high this whole time. Been a lifetime goal, and now the next goal is 1,500lbs for my big three lifts. Also did them all on the same day, and my trainer was shocked.
