Let’s call our members of congress about to replace Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer. Dems don’t have much power but they control their caucus. The old guard needs to go. Jeffries ain’t old but he acts like it.

Medicaid is not for sale. NASA is not for sale. The Post Office is not for sale. America is not for sale. We have an obligation to resist kings. We outnumber them. And they can be overwhelmed.

Was on CNN this morning (yeah I know) if you want to see me blather (This is the link they provided me for the clip, if anyone knows how to embed it better feel free)

When the Maryland National Guard pulled out of a planned parade to honor Frederick Douglass, citing Hegseth's anti-"DEI" guidance, Trump allies complained this was a case of 'malicious compliance.' Hegseth's had two weeks to tell the Maryland Guard to go ahead. He hasn't. The racism is the point.

We should get the “clap out“ to come back. But this time instead of first responders it would be for federal workers….postal, air traffic controllers, people who keep our food safe, nations on parks…..that’s a free idea for anyone who wants to organize that

Democratic Rep. Robert Garcia has published a letter sent to him by Trump’s Department of Justice threatening to potentially prosecute him for criticizing Elon Musk.

The DOGE firings have nothing to do with “efficiency” or “cutting waste.” They’re a direct push to weaken federal agencies perceived as liberal. This was evident from the start, and now the data confirms it: targeted agencies overwhelmingly those seen as more left-leaning. 🧵⬇️

Way to go 🇨🇦! Stand Proud!

I don't think the Dems can stop the firings. But why aren't they proposing legislation that assures those that took the buyout get paid , and that all that are fired, get at least a year severance and health benefits? And any one with a health condition is covered the entire time they are sick?

Wholesale price for a dozen large white eggs is on the version of hitting $8, per USDA data.

If Hochul is scoring on him, it’s open season. Have at it, Dems.

Could someone place an order for 100 more Jasmine Crocketts for overnight delivery to the Democratic Party thx in advance

New—Social Security Administration (SSA) Commissioner stepped down bc she wouldn't comply w/ DOGE. Lower-level staffer Leland Dudek replaced her. In a now-deleted LinkedIn post (pre-promotion) shared w/ me, he said he was placed on admin leave bc he "circumvented the chain of command" to help DOGE.

Tick tock, Hochul. Try not to be the worst Democratic governor for any longer than you need to. Remove Eric Adams.

Oh, look what normal countries do when a former president leads a far right coup attempt.

🚨🚨🚨🚨DOGE is breaking into Social Security records too now www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...

i am 100% of the belief that simply forcing take-writers to answer the question "who specifically said this and why are they significant" would result in substantially fewer bad takes circulating in the world

It is important to celebrate the wins when we get them.🥳 President Donald Trump’s administration halted defunding the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, after Democracy Forward, on behalf of the city of Baltimore and a nonprofit, filed a lawsuit. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

This is absolutely insane. Musk’s DOGE crew just straight up *took* $80 million from an NYC bank account!

there is such a pathological fear among dem electeds of backlash that it leads them to basically do nothing

A daily opposition press briefing will have all of the legit media in attendance (what's left of it) and the world will watch. Failure to do this is surrender. And the world will see that, as well.

It was always apparent but now it's increasingly undeniable that all these 20-something DOGE employees were chosen not *in spite* of inadequate vetting but *because* they would not pass vetting. Trump & Musk chose the people who seemed the most willing to commit illegal acts on their behalf.

i am 100% certain that they are weekend at bernie-ing trump and just handing him papers to sign, the content of which is determined by whoever happens to want something to happen

With all due respect, you're a United States Senator and that's a rent-a-cop from a private security firm with no authority to stop you. You can't just take no for an answer here.

Received a letter from POTUS today purporting to remove me as Commissioner and Chair of the FEC. There's a legal way to replace FEC commissioners-this isn't it. I've been so fortunate to serve the American people and stir up some good trouble along the way. That's not changing anytime soon.

US higher education had become a world-class sector, one of the greatest strengths of this country, even with the amount of work still to be done in making it more just and equitable. But a cabal of mediocre whites, out of pure spite and belligerent stupidity, have decided to choke it to death.

The problem America has, is that we’re now going to need tens of millions of American voters to become activists—when we couldn’t even rely on those American voters to be voters.

I just want to take a moment to appreciate all the savvy pundits who argued trump was the less interventionist candidate

A couple of (actually serious) thought-experiment questions on where we are and where we’re going: If a bunch of sociopaths are destroying the federal government from within, why should we pay federal taxes? And if they succeed, who’s going to make us pay those taxes?

You are MEMBERS OF CONGRESS. If they threaten you with arrest for trying to access a site you are lawfully entitled to access, YOU MAKE THEM FUCKING ARREST YOU. YOU MAKE THEM SLAP THE CUFFS ON A CONGRESSMAN LIVE ON TV, YOU MAKE THEM FUCKING DO IT.

Even the supposed "adults" in Trump's Cabinet, like Rubio and Bessent, turned out to be spineless quislings. wapo.st/4gpWut0

"The Democratic Party, at least in theory, is an organization dedicated to winning political power through elected office, though this might seem hard to believe on the evidence provided by its official proceedings." www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...

Just saying.

A whole bunch of people who were totally cool with posting the addresses of NIH/CDC employees during COVID are now absolutely apoplectic that people would publish the mere names of people forcing their way into government agencies and accessing sensitive data. Weird, huh?

@democrats.org seriously. Stop sending fundraising texts. Tell your super pacs to stop sending them. Put your head down- obstruct- and do your damn job. Believe it or not it’s not actually fundraising.

I'm sorry, but "they took over the whole federal payments system, fired the career staff, and won't let anybody see what they're doing" is not a situation in which you wait for more information. It's a situation in which you assume the worst. There's no explanation for it other than rampant crimes.
