We had the pleasure of being a judge on the panel for the IVFF cookbook contest for the second year. It is a really fun task to cook from new vegan cookbooks whilst looking at various aspects of the books. We loved one that took second place “Real Superfoods” by Robbins and Dandrea-Russert.

Did you know that making an allergy-friendly baked good recipe can take dozens & dozens of bakes to get the recipe just right? Not only do we have to test the bakes with different brands of products, we make sure the baked item comes out the same every time it is baked before we share the recipe.

If you are #dairyfree in Calgary and looking for chocolate advent calendars London Drugs had some NoWhey calendars. Not many but there were a few. A bit pricey at $27. You can order from NoWhey! To Canada but they use postal services. Have you seen any DF advent calendars in town?

We have our teens working on making sure recipes are really easy to follow. If they can make them, you can, too. 4 kids at different cooking levels- if a recipe passes all of them we know we are on the right track. Can your kids cook? Ours have food allergies and will need to know how to cook.

Dinner tonight-> GF pasta & a salad. Leftover Lemon Dill sauce (recipe on our site) and lentil based pasta for protein. Really tired today so the teens will be in charge of the salad. Their fave is a green salad w/ DF ranch dressing. All free from the top 9, gluten free & Dairy free.
