If you see this, share a skeleton.

Also started watching Severance, and while there’s some of the puzzle box stuff I expected, I’m kind of floored with how it hits the ground running with “this is an ethical nightmare, let’s explore that”

Not looking forward to the grimdark live action reboot of this.

Been rewatching House as my casual background watch, and I can’t express how irritating it is that they didn’t license Massive Attack for the opening credits. I paid money for this from iTunes, spend the money securing one of the best uses of music licensing on television.

Holy shit, they photoshopped Weller’s face onto Dolph. Not even his whole head, just the face.

Got to Fire Walk With Me on the rewatch. Still pretty sure it’s supposed to be the same building because you get the Liberty Bell establishing shot and my fed building with an FBI floor was across the street from Independence Mall.

I still think my favorite thing about the season 2 ending of Twin Peaks is that after nearly a whole season of building Windom Earl as the ultimate nemesis, a true Moriarty to Coop’s Holmes, he’s obliterated in seconds by true evil.

Giving The Pitt a chance because I saw 3 separate discussions of people praising it. And it’s damn good. Even if Wyle wasn’t the lead, it would still feel like a solid successor to ER.

At S2E11 of my Twin Peaks rewatch. And while skipping this section is for cowards, if you were watching when it first aired, I can’t imagine how abrupt the changes felt. Just every scene in this and the prior episode announcing the story you cared about is done and here’s what you get now.

Got super evangelical to some friends last night about Frankenhooker. My goal was just to get them throw it on Tubi or something but one is buying the Synapse Blu-ray, so I must have done well.

An absolute winner of sun baked neo-noir if you’ve never seen it.

At S2E2. Enjoying the side stuff way more this watch, so I feel like I’m going to do better this time.

Me getting ready to reply to your posts.

Any time Eddie Deezan shows up in a movie I think, “who asked for this?” But then, he’s rarely misused and rarely outstays his welcome. Hollywood truly used to know how to use our most annoying and weenie-ish actors.

Another Chiefs Eagles Super Bowl.

Making it official. Doing a full Twin Peaks rewatch. Watched Fire Walk With Me and The Return 3 years ago. Been well over a decade on the original series.

Make a band meatier: Nine Inch Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs

Oh this was an interesting one (watched it on Tubi of course). Almost like a prototype of Kentucky Fried Movie/Amazon Women on the Moon with a lot of soon to break stars. Real fun watch, real good pick up from MVD.

Challengers score not getting nominated reminds a lot of The Fountain’s snub (god, I’m reaching back in time here). The best score of the year hands down but since it wasn’t attached to an Oscar type movie, completely ignored.

The other place can still sometimes produce great beauty.

I have waited so long for the 1978 live action Golgo 13 starring Sonny Chiba to be watchable. It’s on Tubi now. It’s exactly what I wanted. God I love this dumb franchise.

Thinking about this sketch for some reason

Can’t wait to see this bad boy in 4K

Probably the best thing I did for my mental health today was going out to a good breakfast with my wife. Second best was making sure when I saw Den of Thieves: Pantera, that the start time was 11:55 to avoid the news.

Walking out of the theater past the movie posters, a couple were looking at the poster for The Brutalist. “I heard this is supposed to be the big Oscar favorite. I think he’s a magician.”

That Rock DJ scene from Better Man is going going to be like that one sequence from Babylon in that I'm going to see daily posts of "how could have this been snubbed?" And it's because there's appearently only one scene worth seeing.

Game was a shootout and one team played pretty much perfect and the other... not so perfect.

I've been doing dreaming all wrong.

Gonna rewatch Eraserhead for the first time in awhile. Once I had a kid, I kind of thought i wouldn't be coming back to that one for awhile since so much of it is based on parental, particularly paternal, anxiety.

Really having a hard morning coping with Lynch's passing this morning. Which I didn't expect considering there was a long time in my life I didn't care for him exclusively based on his interpretation of Dune. I'm glad I gave his work a second chance and let his vision into my life.

A while back, after some false rumors had promised he would have a new feature at Cannes that never materialized, I saw a post of someone reckoning with the fact that The Return would likely be the last work from Lynch. And yeah, that feels like a perfect thesis statement to a career and life.

Well... Shit

No lie, the order I expierenced Bob Uecker was first Mr Belvedere, then Major League, then finally learning that the actor who I thought did a good job as an announcer in ML was because he was a real one.

Watching the British action flick "The Wild Geese" and reminds me of one of my favorite riffrrax lines over the commercial for it on The Star Wars Holiday Special "Starting Richard Burton" "He's grizzled" "Roger Moore" He's fancy" "and Richard Harris" "He's... surprisingly fancy too"

That Penta debut match was great and god damn that promo after was 🔥
