Day 2 in London, and OF COURSE had to see Hadestown (first of the trip) with and then headed to the What’s On Stage Awards to cheer on all the incredible winners (highlights including the incredible Mel La Barrie and fringe fav Diary of a Gay Disaster)

Back in London! Day one was a perfect day of the absolutely charming Ballet Shoes (which got filmed for NT at Home!) and the closing performance of the horniest Great Comet production I’ve ever seen

Schmigadoon was an absolute delight and exactly the show we need right now and I need everyone to go see it so it goes to Broadway and becomes such a hit that some streaming platform has no choice but to pick of the show for a season 3

Frankly there hasn’t been nearly enough discussion about how this season Tina Landau is directing both Woman in Tree and Man in Cave

Here for my 20th visit to the underground (and my 12th Orpheus! SO EXCITED TO SEE A SUPRISE TIM ORPHEUS

Joined Rednote and asked everyone what their fav musical is and turns out people in China are HUGE fans of French and German musicals, I found my people!

Finally got to the point I’m crying at TikTok goodbye videos. We really are losing a whole community and everyone is dispersing across the web or leaving altogether but for the last 5 years we got to gather in our own little corner and it was really freaking special

True story: was so stunned by Caroline Bowman as Norma I completely forgot I have another show tonight

Stereophonic closing, Hadestown cast final performance, Caroline Bowman Boulevard. Today is truly a big day to my specific interests

If you love country music and small town feel in a big city vibes, def check out Music City. If you loved The Lonely Few or the tv show Nashville DEFINITELY check it out before it closes March 2

If you like a) original musicals, b) sapphic love stories, and c) romantic comedies that balance realistic family dynamics and heightened stakes, then HAVE I GOT A SHOW FOR YOU TO LOOK OUT FOR! Loving the premise of Café con Leche so far, and cannot wait to see this develop

First musical of the year and of course it is a return visit to the town of Hades to see Jordan, Maia and Phillip one last time. And it is still an INCREDIBLE SHOW OMG

So happy to revisit English, now as a Pulitzer Prize winner on a Broadway stage, and am happy to report it still is just as stunning and moving as it was before. It’s a super limited run until March 2 only so PLAN ACCORDINGLY

First show of the year and really started with a banger. What an absolutely captivating piece of theatre, I never once knew where this was headed!

This. Is. Schlimmer! *dramatic kick* SHOW 300!

Got the most insane surprise seat upgrade from the LAST row of the side balcony to CENTER ORCHESTRA?!?! Best final day of theatre 2024 off to a GREAT start!

The final 3 tix of the year have been purchased, starting with a regional production of Once Upon a Mattress at the Arvada Center!

FINALLY getting my car back with a few more days to see my last 3 shows of the year to make it to 300. CUTTING IT SUPER CLOSE

December 24th, 9pm PST

As so many fringe shows start the encore productions in New York, London and around the world, here is my full review and ranking of every show I saw! (Seriously so many shows coming to SoHo Playhouse alone in January that are in here, do not miss them!!!) youtu.be/GIrvwtfUgKY

Broadway is literally insane what do you mean these are all the same season

Can’t believe I haven’t seen theatre in over a month but I gotta catch up on the local theatre in Colorado, starting with Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center’s The Little Mermaid (also first program pic on the new phone 🤩)

Ngl, if the rumors are true I am actually irate that we have gotten to the point that in order for any theatre to be filmed they have to do it in London. Like if we have made it so expensive to do it here in the US than WHAT IS THE POINT. It’s time to renegotiate

As I start to compile my top shows of 2024 and revisit last year’s list it is incredibly hopeful to see how frustrated I was by new musicals in 2023 and how that really turned around this year. Going to Fringe definitely helped but even Off Broadway and Regional new musicals were a treat this year!

I will carry you home (to a national tour and subsequent regional productions that I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE)

Oh hey, speaking of seeing regional theatre, if you are going to Broadway Con myself and two other fantastic regional content creators have a panel on Friday talking about theatre OUTSIDE of NYC! And before that come see my mom and I talk about casting

I’ve only been to 23 of these cites, but I’ve seen theatre in 17 of these which is pretty incredible (someday it will be all 50 states!)

It’s been a long time coming indeed. Can’t believe we made it to the last grainy Eras Tour livestream 😭

Can’t believe SNL gave us a preview of the Merrily We Roll Along film coming out in 25 years

Doechii has quickly shot to the top of my list of musicians I want to write an original musical score. The STORYTELLING omg

Me: I’m going to save money and travel less Also me: *buys tickets to a musical in a state I don’t live in with absolutely zero travel plans*

Can’t stop laughing about all the people who are going to go watch Me and My Dick because of Hadestown

How was November simultaneously the longest month and the shortest month rolled into one. I feel like I live 5 lifetimes in November but how tf is it over

I used to think I was in the know on pop culture and film releases but now I keep seeing trailers for The Bad Guys 2 and what do you mean this is the second film? WTF IS THE BAD GUYS?

Look, if they are giving us a Wicked marketing break after the Oscars, then the logical solution is have Cynthia and Ari start the promo train back up at the Tonys and drop the trailer then
