One of my favourite techniques for assisting natural regeneration, instead of planting trees, is to set up bird perches and artificial bat roosts in deforested areas The birds and bats are attracted to them, fly around and poo a lot, and deposit lots of seeds in nice little manure packages

Peter Barber is Reform UK candidate for Canvey Island Winter Gardens, Castle Point, a by-election that will take place at the end of May. He's the same Peter Barber that ran for the BNP in Canvey in 2007. Once again Reform UK, what's with the lack of vetting? www.echo-news.co.uk/news/local_n...

With the focus on Trump at the moment let’s not forget our own sewage problems. Water companies continues to pollute our coast today (red crosses).

Look forward to seeing a similar initiative in Bath @bathnesgreens.org.uk @bathnes.bsky.social #EarthDay #CloseTheLoop

Tomorrow, a certain online mega-retailer launches a book sale, just days before Indie Bookstore Day on 4/26. This is no coincidence; Bookstore Day is one of the largest revenue drivers for indies. Indies need our support to thrive & build community spaces for all...mega-retailers do not.

UK electricity is one of the most expensive in the world. Ofgem bases price of electricity on the cost of gas, which is most expensive input. Providers of wind, solar, coal, nuclear, hybro, biomass power make mega profits. Must change Ofgem formula. Take gas out of equation, need more renewables.

Is 20 hours the typical length of time it takes to die after encountering a demon sent by the Antichrist?

Nigel Farage defends allowing US chlorinated chicken into UK as part of trade deal. Farage/Reform want US style insurance-based healthcare; lower food/environmental standards, worker/consumer rights; return to gold standard, benefit cuts. Who in their right mind wants this.

Nothing quite like a barbed wire fence on one side and a river on the other as you cycle down a narrow footpath in the gloaming to concentrate the mind, following a slightly hazy Easter Sunday. Hope y’all had a good day too. We’re home safe xx

Nigel Farage has told ITV News the first thing he would do as prime minister if he won a general election would be to remove the UK from the European Convention on Human Rights That alone is good reason never to vote for Reform UK. THIS IS WHY youtu.be/MdiDDJrQUJA?...

Boys found the sunny spot @oftenarsey.bsky.social

He’s gone. RIP Richard Gill. The best Dad!

Interesting UK Govt statistics Fraud on PIP, 0%. Attendance Allowance 0%. Disability Living Allowance 0.1% Employment and Support Allowance 1.5% Carer’s Allowance 3% Housing benefit 3.9% Pension Credit 3.9% Why is Govt taking powers to snoop 24/7 on bank accounts of all benefit recipients?

So it seems the 8ft brick wall was too much of a barrier for frogs and newts this year ….but not even one week in to having a lovely new greenhouse and I’ve discovered what looks like a ducks egg in the corner that definitely wasn’t there this morning. 🤣

This Friday at 7:30pm we spend an enchanting evening with iyatraQuartet in our histroic Living Room just upstairs. Their music blends ancient and modern sounds with strings, clarinet, percussion, and vocals for a unique experience. Not to be missed! 🎟️ - bit.ly/TheLivingRoomiyatraQuartet #Music

Year 2 in Dads garden though it as still just basically a builders yard around now. Great to see the perennials coming up and get out for a few days in the sunshine between chats with him.

Nigel Farage prepares another supply of bullshit.

Interesting. www.standard.co.uk/news/politic...

This just came up on my Facebook feed, and I think it might be one of the most important pieces of research ever undertaken: how various countries say "Zero fucks given." The frozen onions are a left turn.

Work to remove the St Paul's gyratory in the City of London starts next month - this transformational scheme will create a stunning new public space & bring significant improvements for the 1000s of people walking & cycling in the area. www.standard.co.uk/business/gyr...

Off to get the Mother in Law for a Mothers Day surprise.

Back in sunny Twerton….its been a while. C’mon the City.

I’ve just heard the Tories planned to take £12bn from the welfare budget if they’d won last year. I can’t support the £5bn but that’s a bit mind blowing.

I love @ledbydonkeys.org

View from my window and having a rest day as it all just seems a bit hard right now. He made me smile 😊

Last weekend was pretty off the scale music wise at ours for the #7HillMusic Festival culminating in a bounce around with Bare Jams on the Sunday night. Humbling to see such a great act in a small venue like ours. Here’s a flavour youtu.be/XYXOvjnB1M8?... #BareJams

I have been banned from helping with GCSE Chemistry homework after I was asked what happens when you add base to acid and I said, "Jungle?"

I'm no lawyer, but it seems like discussing war plans in Signal outside a SCIF is maybe just a little bit worse than using a private server to send emails that weren't even marked as classified. But what do I know.

So apparently when you slow down a bit, the Adrenalin you’re used to relying on just isn’t there to push pain away anymore 🙄 So today it’s back to the gym & I’ve planned a trip to my favourite garden centre for Thursday and that makes me really happy. Morning folks!

Indigenous tribal Peoples are the world’s best forest guardians. They manage 33% of forests that hold 80% of the 🌏’s biodiversity. Protecting indigenous cultures is crucial for saving the world’s biodiversity. #WeAreIndigenous

The British government and press run scared of Brexit because they know it is a continuing disaster they are choosing to allow.

Well done!
