Popped out for an after work pint to 'enjoy' the weather which of course means I've just got in after staying out for dinner and a couple more pints. This adulting business is alright sometimes.

Found myself at the Thirsty Pine Beer Cafe again, his time with a pint of @lostandgrounded.bsky.social Extra Nice Lager, a perfect Bud/American lager clone only delicious and perfect for this weather.

My leftist position is square C7 which means I've sunk your battleship so yah boo sucks to you.

The Bright Falls series is just the most wonderful heart warming/soul ticklingly pure lesbian romance series and all I want is a gay version that makes me feel the same way I do when reading Ashley Herring Blake's work.

Night gang, hope the summer evenings and their light gives you a better ground for being your own cartographer and mapping your special deserved place in the universe's rich pageant x. youtu.be/D6yo9sZqH2M?...

All this weather is most unnecessary, down right vulgar to be frank.

Big mug of tea and Carry on Doctor on ITVX, it's what we fought at Agincourt and Crecy for.

Listening to the splendid @theresthistory.bsky.social episodes on Florence and the Medicis, and delightfully full of names and events I knew/were played with in the entirely accurate 'Da Vinci's Demons' series, though less Vlad the Impaler mentions on the podcast.

Definitely at the age where nothing hits the spot like a nice cup of tea.

So new book day today for me and it's Iris Kelly Doesn't Date by Ashley Herring-Blake.

God Corey Feldman and 'acting' really weren't close friends huh?

I mean yay MI6 appointing a lady spyess to run the gaff, but again and this was the case with finding out who runs MI5, it's the SECRET bloody services, I shouldn't be able to find out this sort of thing.

Continuing Pride movie watch with another viewing of The Lost Boys, because lets face it, vampire movies are pretty much all gay movies with suspicious dentistry.

I was determined to view the full UK AIDS quilt in the short time it’s on display at Tate Modern, and today that’s what I did. So full of emotions. People who, like me, should still be here. I will never forget. That’s my promise to all of those who came before me and were taken far too soon.

Right, more Pride month viewing and following on from Department Q, featuring a younger and lot less swearier but still lovely Matthew Goode, it's Imagine Me and You.

"So you live with a pink hippo, a large talking bear and a zippy thing you say Geoffrey/? No, you've been at the metal polish again."

I realise that 'made me cry whilst reading his books on the train and in the pub' might not be the strictest criteria for this, but just give Benjamin Alire Sáenz the Nobel for Literature already.

Anyway big mug of tea, some oreos and an evening of Wynona episodes is a decent showing :)

Beer hot take - The new Double Diamond is a perfectly pleasant session IPA sort of a beer, would drink again but not ahead of craftier options.

In The Thirsty Pine for their Lancashire beer showcase with a tasty pint of Black Edge Brewing Company' Most, a single hop Czech blonde ale 🍻

Popped into Tesco just now and picked up a pack of that new Double Diamond to drink with my hot wings this evening. Anyway, now for coffee.

Anyway, a good and eerily erotic night to all our readers, be big bright shining stars and light your friends home xx. youtu.be/YRxWmMoMqFM?...

All this kissing in the rain is all very well but I assure you in the dry indoors with a nice cup of tea is just as romantic.

Jennifer Garner's speech to Nick Robinson in Love, Simon about getting to be more him is, along with the 'bread and roses' scene from Pride one of the two scenes from the pictures that make me cry every time I see them.

Speaking of books on my gay YA Mount Rushmore, finally dared to listen to the @hkhspod.bsky.social episode on Ari & Dante and the movie, and @brennacgray.bsky.social is obviously brilliantly wise in her love of the tome, but the adaption sounds a slight and sad misstep.

Anyway it is after all Pride Month, so getting gay in the movie choices again with the wonderful Love, Simon.

Finished Department Q and perhaps an episode and a half too long or so but brilliant stuff and I hope there's another season.

"No Geoffrey, the Jesus and Mary Chain is not a Glaswegian euphemism for a flush lavatory."
