Happy Grandmother's Day, too. Life ain't the same w/o Helen Reed. @ 12yo I was sneaking into movie theatres, staying all day & she was, too. We vacationed together, shared scamming notes & stories. She dated wrestlers, survived alcohol & bad men, but remained the funniest nut one could hope to meet.

Happy to report that the 43rd & Bancroft (Fruitvale/Oakland, CA) guitar virtuoso has also found the time to take up playing the organ. There's nothing that man can't/hasn't done in that truck for the past decade. Bravo - for real. We love him.

Trying to figure out if $0.50 is an OK price to pay for a 9"x12" Bob Hope painting. The older woman @ the register identified the subject w/ a frown, but didn't seem to appreciate it when I also identified him as a "piece of sh*t." (I'm from Stockton, CA & he was. @realgilbertacp.bsky.social knows.)
