Update #2: The boiler is shot. I was told it would be about $10,000 to replace. So I went with plan B. My Uncle installed a mini split unit on Tuesday. It does heat and A/C and he only charged $3,000 for everything. We have heat, it's quiet, and there's no chance of a CO leak in the house.

Update: My Dad brought us some new fire alarm/carbon monoxide detectors and a bunch of space heaters. The house is safe and decently warm now. A heating company is sending a crew to check out the boiler in the morning.

IRL Thing: The family and I almost died... TL;DR Carbon Monoxide leak! We're okay, not looking forward to the bill to fix it though. Currently without heat unfortunately.

I just got a new-in-box MetaWatch. A smartwatch from 2012! The good news is that it still works! The bad news is that the app doesn't! For now it's just a fancy digital watch unless I can somehow get the app on a modern phone.

Update: Upgrading RAM from 6GB (4GB+2GB) to 16GB (8GB x2) now too since it's cheap and I'll already be inside the laptop.

IRL Thing: I'm helping out my work supervisor with his personal laptop because he's an artist and musician with all of his work on that laptop and it craves death. Ordered a new fan, new battery, and an SSD to replace the dead fan and battery and to replace the ancient mechanical 5400RPM hard drive.
