More recently - @aoc.bsky.social, encouraged by Justice Sonia Sotomayor, has worn vibrant red throughout her political career and would not "tone herself down"
Recently - a TikTok by a black man denouncing red lipstick on black woman has led to a multitude of responses w/ us wearing it.

He hated it SO much he tried to ban it & cosmetics in 1930s/40s.
Women in the US Armed Forces were issued make up kits w/ red lipstick in them. Arden created Montezuma Red to match piping on uniforms (at least for Marine Corps)
Victory Red was the civilian color.

In real life it's fun to watch them get flustered, trying to keep their cool.
Could be because I'm in a quietly racist area and a black woman is hitting them with facts & not fitting any of the stereotypes.

Yep. Outside of work I cuss and most people around me cuss - friends, people in stores, etc.
If the situation calls for it, I use it. Typically not on social media. The people trying to argue historical facts or any facts get angrier when you don't stoop to their level.
