This first half of January has been fraught with outcome suspense and analysis paralysis over key decisions to make. After some calls to SDSU and a lot of time weighing options, accepted the burden of student debt and enrolled in 12 (maybe 13) units for Spring 2025.

Well, since @jetpack.com kept returning "malformed request" errors when trying to add a BlueSky account using a custom domain and not wanting to test if reverting will break the connection, decided to just leave the .bsky.social handle in place and alleviate the pressure to get the site populated

Already, have to say that BlueSky's implementation of domains as alternative user handles to the default @user.bsky.social format is 👨🏽‍🍳🤌🏽💋. Very much encourages owning a domain and creating a website to back it up, a much more legitimate verification mechanism than any $10/month blue checkmark

Keep reading elsewhere on how much BlueSky is gaining traction, seems to be heading where I'd hoped Mastodon would get itself. Threads is good enough, but I believe in an open web and decentralized technologies not owned by a single giant tech corporation very much have my interest & support
