Aggressively dominant male mammals typically urinate to scent-mark their territory. “I’ll piss where I like." "I❤️pissin' on TERFs." They think they’re women. But can you imagine a better walking, talking, reeking advertisement for toxic masculinity? #SexMatters

For those accusing me of being right wing, even a fascist, for supporting the Supreme Court decision to clarify sex means biological sex in the Equality Act protected characteristic ... I agree with Marxists on women's rights. Actual Marxists, I mean, not those who merely identify.

What a digusting man.

Our society will only improve when it feels safe for all women to be able to say No to men

No the greatest trick was pretending they were a natural part of the LGB. They aren't. They are like a cuckoo, put in a nest where they don't belong, killing all the birds who build the nest.

A detailed look at what the Supreme Court did and did not decide in For Women Scotland v The Scottish Ministers this week. The ruling was unequivocal and the judgment should be read in full, but this is a summary and analysis that I hope will be useful: knowingius.org/p/sex-has-al...

Today transactivists pissed all over the Millicent Fawcett statue and held placards issuing death threats. Honestly, what is it going to take for people to see this for the explicitly antifeminist, misogynistic movement it is.

“Maybe every generation has its witch-hunt, its Joe McCarthy era, when innocent people are denounced for unimaginably bizarre reasons, and we’ve now lived through ours” www.thetimes.com/comment/colu...

Women and girls' humanity is overlooked across the world (and has been throughout history) because of their sex.

A Twitter account will never be entirely redundant while saying on here that it’s bad to wish painful deaths on women who are civilly asserting they have rights independent of what some men may want is denounced as ‘bigotry’.

I never thought (in Jan 2017) this would end up being the issue that gets me more irate than any other. But I really really can't stand bullies. Or postmodernism. I've despaired at how the Left (the men in particular) abandoned women. Fantastic last Observer column from @sonia-sodha.bsky.social

Women did not fight for decades to not be 'defined by biology': feminist thinking is rooted in recognising women's sex and its impact socially, culturally, politically, economically, etc. Women fought to not be treated as less than men because of their sex.

Neoliberal post feminist codswallop really has done a number on a lot of women, eh?! They don't even understand the basics of feminist thinking. It's sad. I hope they educate themselves. Anyway, I've been incoherently ranted at enough for one day. Now I want a take away and my telly.

@quaker.org.uk is there a place still in Quakers for those of us who consider Supreme Court ruling in ForWomen Scotland case to be legally & morally correct? I have experienced years of harassment for this. Please advise as seriously considering whether to give up my membership

Remarkable that @fawcettsociety.bsky.social appear to have had nothing to say about the vandalism of the statue of Millicent Fawcett. Why so quiet?

Right now a lot of people need to change their mind about the protected characteristic of sex. The legal accepted wisdom was wrong. Naomi Cunningham wrote about changing her mind on this in 2022 after some late night debates... sex-matters.org/posts/update...

"Can you imagine angry leftwing men railing against any other group that’s managed to secure their rights? Chastising them for not being gracious enough in victory? Me neither." www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

I find it utterly bizarre that people can be so angry at women wanting to retain the sex-based rights they fought for and that we don't accept that men can literally be women. Utterly, utterly bizarre.

If I share this from Sonia Sodha, how long until i get called a whole list of misogynistic names? Don’t bother, I’ll just block you. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

Very good piece from @sonia-sodha.bsky.social on the reaction to the recent Supreme Court judgment. Her observations on the way women are being demonised, again, for being happy that our rights have been upheld are spot on... /1

Maybe they do “only want to pee”, but it’s not entirely obvious that they require access to the female facilities for that.

@sisterssalon.bsky.social excellent blog “The Supreme Court judgment makes it clear that the only definition of “woman” that can lawfully be used is one based on biological sex.” brightonsisters.wordpress.com/blog-sex-in-...

'The meaning of “woman” and “female” in the Equality Act has become one of the most contested questions ... the supreme court settled it, in a landmark legal judgment that affirms the rights of women to the same level of legal protection afforded to other groups.' www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

Oh my! Women don't deserve a protected characteristic in the Equality Act. At least this is honest. Misogynistic and despicable but honest.

Men held a rally yesterday to call women ‘bitches’ while Maggie Chapman, the Deputy Convener of the Parliament’s Equalities and Human Rights Committee, looked on approvingly m.youtube.com/watch?v=DJgV...

The reaction to women celebrating the For Women Scotland legal victory only serves as a reminder that while the law is the law our culture remains dead-set against women who say no. My final column for the Observer. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

Misogyny

This is an excellent explainer.

Opinion of @ObserverUK that @ForWomenScot ruling was necessary & protects everyone "Right across society..the law has in effect been rewritten by leaders & HR managers in response to activist demands..in a way that unlawfully discriminates against women"

'The headline takeaway: references to sex in the Equality Act are references to biological sex; references to men in the Equality Act are references to biological males; references to women in the Equality Act are references to biological females.' Legal explanation. 🎯 knowingius.org/p/sex-has-al...
