Got up at stupid o'clock to fit in a gym trip for stupid health reasons and the women's only gym was CLOSED so I had to work out with BOYS. The endorphins were hard won today.

Watching Star Trek while the Pope dies is basically my two childhood belief systems working together

Dog woke me up at 6.20am faking a toilet emergency, which was in fact a I Want A Cuddle And Perhaps Some Breakfast emergency. He's had both and is now falling back asleep on the sofa. Unlike me who is now WIDE AWAKE on the sofa. Happy Saturday, everyone.

Got a new hoover and to whoever invented the little light at the end that shows up all the dust and dog hair on the floor: I may have been confronted by the seeing the horrors that is laminate flooring with a dog but YOU, O Inventor, shall never see the light of the kingdom of heaven.

Always asked kindly about the job situation during the worst of the 80s, understood different regions of the UK, used to be a maths teacher so good at balancing the budget and a club comic who could deal with difficult working men's clubs. A benevolent dictator, frankly.

QP this with your 5 favourite female Star Trek characters, Bluesky Trekkies! #StarTrek #Treksky 🖖✨ 1. Lwaxana Troi 2. La'an Noonien-Singh 3. Kira Nerys 4. Sylvia Tilly 5. D'Vana Tendi 5. Kathryn Janeway (shh it's only a little cheat)

How's my journey home going? Well, the station I was going from was closed so I walked ten minutes to the next one & then my kindle had mysteriously ran down the battery all day so had nothing to read & now I've just been SMACKED IN THE FACE by a woman swinging her bag round so yeah it's fine!!!

Okay I genuinely think we might have been the customers as this actually happened to us in Christmas in Walthamstow in 2012?!

Roses are red, Elon's a knob,

Last time going to The Really Good Butty Shop by work (we're moving offices) and I got a rose, possibly the only time I will permit unsolicited romantic nonsense from a man.

A very happy Men Panicking In The Local Supermarket Day to all who celebrate!

Annual leave booked, parents sorted for dogsitting and deposit paid so: later on this year we're off to Cambodia and Vietnam for a couple of weeks including a week long cruise on the Mekong!

Wrote to my MP today on this very topic. No idea if it'll do any good - she has frankly kept her head down and you don't hear a peep from her, not a good start tbh - but I'll keep trying.

February mood update: thought "oooh, an interesting nature thing!" on my run this morning by the duck pond. On closer examination it was in fact a large rat desperately treading water while taking bites out of a dead duck. LONDON BABY

Whisper it but I've just booked annual leave and placed a hold for a proper 'dream holiday' for the end of the year. Lord knows we all need something to look forward to, right?
