So. It has officially happened. I have been officially let go from my position at CDC. I wasn’t a probationary employee. I had stellar performance reviews every year. I’ll be ok. But please understand that many worked HARD to get into these positions and were doing great public health work.

When a patient says they're concerned about something, realize a clinician doesn't have to live with it. It's hard enough to even bring it up. Share prior experience with it or why you think it's irrelevant rather than brush it off. Help with their fears. Ask why the thing might be an issue.
