If you put a mask on an anti-masker, does it act like chloroform and put them to sleep?

Any good resources on YouTube or otherwise for gaining more experience with mixing? I write music digitally with Ableton. I'm good with getting ideas down, but not refining their sound and getting it to mix well. Anyone have any recommendations? #music #ableton #audioengineering #mixing #mastering

YouTube needs to stop showing shorts in my subscriptions and notifications feed. I don't care about them nor would I ever want to watch them on my TV of all places!! #vent #youtube

Wow, Sora is *great*. We're stuck in the CGI era of 2000s... ...though maybe that's not a bad thing...

Does Bluesky crash when viewing videos for anyone else? I have been able to watch any videos while on my phone. Click a video, app closes immediately. Maybe a soft reminder to do something else 🙃

I've never felt energized or awake on caffeine. Instead, I feel nervous, then jittery, then like I'm gonna die. Like right now. Thanks tea with caffeine, my ADD is now ADHD.

Politics suck. I just want to live in peace. Stop being dumb. Stop taking incorrect sides.

Just ordered a VKB Gladiator EVO joystick and THQ module. I'm super excited to upgrade my flight and space sim setup using their modular system!

Sorry for the silence recently. We added and tested flight planning to the upcoming release of Airwave recently, but found it might make gameplay worse. Gamifying our existing simulator proves to be difficult and will take a long time to get right.

Wow, MSFS paired with SayIntentions.ai is incredible! This alone is why I'm bullish on (the actual innovative use cases of) AI.

Been playing Flightgear recently. It's basically MSFS but open source. The graphics aren't the best, but it runs well and has great realism. I wish MSFS would focus on optimization so it doesn't run at 15 FPS on a 4070 but I'm fine with using Flightgear as the alternative. Really, it's great.

Shareholders are the root of all evil

I hate when social media companies force you to sign in. I just want to view *one post*. Just *one product update* to find out why a game disappeared.

Allergies suck

We've recently upgraded logic for air and ground in Airwave, creating a more intuitive behavior when landing or taxiing. Our goal has always been realism, and this is another step towards that! Find out how we did it and what it looks like: blog.airwavegame.com/d/shk60jtczh #gamedev #dev #aviation

ChatGPT is surprisingly good at doing OCR for handwriting. Especially my shitty scribbles I call letters (iPad is both fun and difficult to write on)

People, you need to stop sitting on things that aren't chairs.

Whenever you update an app on an old Android phone (Galaxy S8), it basically renders your phone unusable until the app is updated. Plus, this happens even whithout updating apps, just whenever the phone feels like slowing you down. And yet, it still works.

It's funny whenever I have 2 or 3 viewers on Twitch and I go to talk to them. I'll say "For those just tuning in..." and try to acknowledge them. As soon as I do, they leave. I thought y'all wanted us to talk to you. I could stay focused in the game, but then that's just a video, lol.

Gonna stream Airwave same time tomorrow, 9am EST and possibly later that night around 8 or 9 pm. Maybe even for a little while tonight, just to test things out more.

GOING LIVE! GOING LIVE! AIRWAVE TIME! www.twitch.tv/thedevbird

Will be streaming Airwave today in about an hour to test streaming and just having fun. Tomorrow will be a bigger stream with Leon (co-developer), hopefully around the same time.

I'm looking to do an Airwave play session sometime either Wednesday or Thursday (or both) around 4PM Eastern. I'll follow up a few hours before and when I go live. #twitch #livestream

After building ground control into Airwave, we wanted to go further. Like, simulate an entire country. For this, we had to refactor Airwave into a dynamic system allowing for airspace-to-airspace travel. Learn more about how we did it here: blog.airwavegame.com/d/b03k89vdqp #gamedev #dev #aviation

Shoutout to Portal for allowing me to share ~150MB of audio transcriptions and raw training data with my friend directly Peer-To-Peer. Tar.gz didn't shrink it by much so Discord wasn't ever an option, lol. github.com/SpatiumPorta...

Instead of shitty smart home standards we should all just switch to DMX. You got color, brightness, and even any proprietary feature. All while supporting hundreds of lights. Though, you'd have to wire them nicely. Maybe someone should invent wireless DMX!

After I've done it, I can now saw that it wasn't not that bad (which happens a lot). However, the main issue was the URL shortener service I tried to spin up, which messed around with the domain and URL, causing my Nginx misconfiguration to fail no matter what I did.

Set up a separate account for @airwavegame.bsky.social so all development related posts can go there. It's also nice as the GitHub and blog links can live in the bip, rather than a pinned post.

Wow, Nginx has such a steep learning curve. Plus the compatibility of other systems that try to mess with the URL already. Sucks when debuggability is basically zero, too.

Graphs make the world a better place. They give you pathfinding, relationships, and other stuff for free. I love em.

@writefreely.org.web.brid.gy is awesome. Just install it and you have your own bloggins system that uses under 16MB of memory, perfect for a tiny VPS! Pus, their web interface *just works*. This is why I love open-source over the other options.

Airwave is an Air Traffic Control (ATC) game that I've been building over the past few months. It utilizes an LLM and a STT model to allow for realistic interactions with the aircraft in your airspace. I've started a blog to document the process, features, and solutions. blog.airwavegame.com

Whoa, I have a GPU of liked songs

My PC didn't turn on my keyboard until Windows started booting, not letting me interrupt the boot process and switch to Linux. So, even before boot, Windows tries to fuck your life up. Windows, please stop.
