If it's a negative on your life, nothing wrong with stepping away. I'm trying to challenge myself to overcome my social anxiety but will probably take breaks. Do what you need to do to live your best life, and just because you walk away from social media doesn't mean it needs to be forever

Same, I'm trying to get over feeling like an idiot if no one replies or likes or whatever. Plan is to just post stuff because I feel like it and being ok with having a voice even if no one feels like interacting.

How did you decide on Kirby Super Star? I keep having a super short attention span for picking a game to learn to run and jumping around but never finishing anything

If only all the folks playing FFXIV could enjoy the cool jazz of PlayOnline

I’ll admit charge blade was too much for my lizard brain. Apply hammer to monster face is more my speed

A damn fine slogan. I'd vote for it 😂

You should get one of those pans that basically just bakes muffin tops. why make stumps if it can be all tops

Have you heard of Homestead Arcana? I was meaning to check it out but hadn't gotten to it yet. I love farming sims tho, just so relaxing. The only downside is it's super easy to lose your day to them. "Just one more day and I'll go to bed this time for real"

and/or Madden. Doesn't make sense to me personally, but if that's what they want to do then good on em

In adition to the many awesome replies here, I'd love to see a real bushido blade remake or sequel.

What's been your favorite dish so far? I try to include one new recipe a week. Had a really nice vegeterian stew with chickpeas and subbed sweet potatos for the russets not too long ago www.budgetbytes.com/smoky-potato...

ngl my wife swears by it.
you know you're old when ads for cleaning products get you hype lol. I still remember how excited I was when I learned about barkeeper's friend

Yes. Hell yes. It looks pretty cool. I need to go revisit Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2 (and visit 3 I guess?)

For me just jumping in on my dream project was hard, since it was so big and I knew so little specifically about making games. I would burn out before I could complete the thing. I've been documenting my ideas for when I have more exp to make it a reality and trying to find time for jams after work

You going to try to get involved in some game jams for some exp on small scale projects, or just gonna jump in?

For me, the biggest hurdle was finding a weapon that I really liked (which I also found changed depending on what I was hunting). Playing with ppl also helped, since it helped take some of the aggro off of me as I was learning

Didn’t realize you could use a list to block ppl. Thank you for helping my feed be less awful 🙂

I still remember going through and reading all of the codexes. Idk what made it all so compelling, but I needed to devour every bit of world building information I could. Amazing game for sure

Not really actually, it's really just posting into the void for me. Hell, most of the time I don't bother posting since it doesn't feel like I have much to add to conversations. Also I never used twitter, so it's prob just a skill issue compounded by self doubt

Ohhhh right. I totally forgot about Labo 😅

I think it looks great, and I’d definitely be interested in it. My biggest question would be which games aren’t going to be backward compatible. I was genuinely shocked when I saw that in the announcement trailer

I was like this for months when I was _super_ stressed out. Might be worth doing some introspection if you have time to figure out what’s bothering you. Journaling helped me get to the bottom of my anxiety, if you want to give that a go. Hope things get better for you!

P5 was the first persona I tried. I probably played it that long and didn’t mind one bit. I haven’t tried and SMT titles but P3,4, and 5 were all superb

So you might say you never saw it coming.... (I know wrong game, I'll let myself out) P3 is a great game for sure

There was a while where if I played stellaris for a minimum of 10 hours every time I booted it. It was a problem. First time @takuftw.bsky.social jumped into discord as he was getting ready for work and was like “dude it’s been 13 hours are you still playing!?!”

I need to learn to push back against the decade or so of "we want results yesterday" that I'm guessing helped mold me this way.

Yeah… I feel like the business of making games tends to be in opposition of making games. I get that you have to ship at some point, but pushing things out the door to get cash flow now and deciding to patch later seems to be more common, especially as games get bigger and more complex

I would stream some to friends, and it was fun. I would just worry if my income was based on keeping the attention of masses on the internet that it could all just go away if you aren’t funny enough one month. For a hobby though it was a good time!

I feel like usually it isn’t that QA didn’t know or find the issues, just that the business decided to ship anyways unfortunately
