This is MSIA Gundam Dynames from 2007. I was predisposed to hating this toy. It's my favorite of the 00 S1 MC mobile suits, but all of the other toys in this ranged I've opened fucking suck. You can say they're overly ambitious. They're also floppy, fiddly, and frustrating. Piss poor toys.

When it rains, it pours Gundam merchandise, in this Asahi Graph photo-essay from 1981: the peak of the Gundam phenomenon. This was the room of a high schooler who ran a fan club. Much of this stuff is worth a small fortune now.
