As a kid in the 80s, finding Rose Tattoo albums was difficult. Such a great band.

Another £8 purchase from Friday Ornette Coleman blasting his way through early versions of the Free Jazz album.

Pick this up yesterday. £8 from Leicester's finest record shop Vinyl Shakedown. I'm not sure where it stands in the Ohio Players catalogue, but there are a couple of cracking moments.

2023 #Heavymetalfriday 2024 #Classicrockfriday 2025 #Freejazzfriday Starting with a random selection by Charles Gayle. Is this free jazz? It sounds like it to me, but Jazz is something I know little about, despite i liste to it a fair bit nowadays.

Rock 'n' Roll spaghetti storage.

I've drawn the 11pm DJ slot at tonight's vinyl night. The theme is... Christmas Down Under, I'm looking forward to seeing what tunes everyone brings.

The Media won't acknowledge this video of the farmers blocking an ambulance with its blue lights on so could you could RT it so people see it?

I thought The Levellers were so good back then. I saw them a lot around this time. This had Chumbawumba and Credit To The Nation as support.

07/03/88 AC/DC. What a party that was. I was still only 17. Despite the fact Blow Up Your Video was terrible, as usual, the show was fantastic. www.setlist.fm/setlist/acdc...

Will the next generation be happy with a 3 an over test? For now, I'm going to sit back and enjoy and savour every moment. What Stokes, Baz, Root, Brook, Duckett, Carse, and Atkinson have done will inspire the next generation, not only with and ball but loyalty and attitude. #EngvsNz 2/2

This England cricket excites me and frustrates me sometimes in equal measures. Their fearless approach is the stuff of schoolboy dreams. They have set a new bar that could almost be a last hurrah for test cricket because when this England team/ set up comes to an end and it will... #EngvNz 1/2

I made myself laugh today with a very niche joke. I was in my lorry and sports person said "Harry Brooks brilliant test hundred ". I said out loud "also see Mary Hopkin, she must despair." I laughed.

Harmonia's debut is definite 10/10. All arguments will be ignored.😆

Deep Purple - Fireball 8.5/10 I can't stand, Anyone's Daughter . It's a good job I'm not scoring the sleeve.😂

If you are new to Floyd, then this is a great place to start. I have been a fan all my life, mainly the 67 -71 era, and have really learnt much. For a band that had so many dramas, it's dealt with in a very manner, which is actually quite refreshing.

After last night's masterclass in good time, rock and flippin roll, I just had to play this.

Mike Monroe played KK's Steel Mill last night and, as usual, played an absolute blinder. He and his band represent everything about Rock 'n' Roll.

Ivan The Tolerable are not only one of the best bands around but also have one the best names.

88 years ago today, Robert Johnson stepped into a San Antonio hotel room and changed music forever. His first recording session and recorded blues classics like 'Sweet Home Chicago,' 'Terraplane Blues,' and 'I Believe I’ll Dust My Broom.' The birth of a legend.

Glitter Wizard - Solar Hits. Heavy/glamy 70s style Psych vibe.

Flock - 2. Strong contender for my album of the year.

Sunday morning Psych. Evening Fires - Where I've been is places and what I've seen is things. Released on the Sunrise Ocean Bender label.

Ambassador Hazy - The Traveller. A cracking album of Psych tune released on the ever dependable Cardinal Fuzz Records.

Black Helium- Primitive F*ck Superb slab of heavy psych released on brilliant @riotseasonrecords.bsky.social Also, having seen them live a couple of times, I can honestly say they are one of the best live bands around.

Solid 2nd album from Anthrax. I had to travel to London to get this when it came out. I think it was just an excuse to visit the legendary Shades record shop.
