‘Bout to go live with Joey Atterbury on the season opening for the Skip Barber Formula iRacing Series. Show starts at 7pm eastern

I recall defending self driving cars as being a safer option maybe 7 or 8 years ago on the iRacing forums. Based on how the robotaxis are doing I think I’d like to rescind that…

If ever there is an indication as to whether I have any interest in stock and ball sports, I had no idea Oklahoma City had a basketball team until today

One thing I’ve wondered for a while and Newgarden’s wreck kinda made me lean more towards it… should indycar start using fencing between the track and pits? It’s always scared me a bit, especially at Indianapolis

Ok I’m sold. Giving this a try

Sportsmanship is important. We need to start going back to it being an imperative part of sport. Not win at all costs. If we are not here for the humanity of sport and the story it tells, why are we here?

Hyyyyyyyype!

If I can count on anything in this world, it’s more doggos from Justin Melillo and Joey Atterbury. This makes life just a little bit better.

This stat from racefans.net is WILD

Full agree. The second race cars become a weapon, the perpetrator needs a serious sit down.

Happy pride month! To all my LGBTQ race fans, racers, pit crew, track workers, however you’re a part of racing, YOU BELONG! I will fight for you to be here 🏳️‍🌈🏁✊

Gotta say I agree with Alonso. Palou doesn’t need to go to F1. F1 is a mess and hoping you get a legitimate shot is a fool’s errand. I say this as a big F1 fan. But it’s just its own world in racing and you’re better off staying put if you’re already kicking ass in a spec series

The most mind blowing part of the weekend was constantly seeing @thedjclark.bsky.social on the big screen at Indy interviewing drivers. I am so proud of what he’s achieved!

Kinda disappointed that racefans.net doesn’t even have a single article about the 500. Just their roundup links to other sources. It used to be a site that covered more than just F1. And that was when it was still called F1fanatics. The irony.

LOLLLLL, my dad and I are sitting in our seats and suddenly @jeremyscott.bsky.social walks up. His seats are literally two rows in front of us. Completely unintentional. What are the odds?

Off to the 500, who’s gonna be there?

How the three in the booth kept from laughing us beyond me. They had way too much fun calling this youtu.be/GVlc0lEpErc

I am begging people to stop using AI. It’s crazy that it’s gotten this bad. Unreliable info, poor quality imagery and nonsensical articles does not feel worth polluting our world more. Pay humans to do creative human things. Leave AI to math where it’s useful.

I’ll say this: F1 recently brought back a team principal who cheated by intentionally asking a driver to wreck in order to manipulate the race. Indycar just let go one of the star strategists over blatant cheating with tech regs. I’ll take the indycar approach.

Tay-has

12 years together! Another anniversary, another set of anklets on the wreath

Gonna be in Austin this weekend. Anyone close by wanna say hi or hang out after we leave the track in the evenings?

Ok race nerds, need your opinions. My brother says paddle shifters not requiring a clutch makes a race car an automatic because the computer is operating the clutch and doing the mechanical work for you. My dad and I emphatically disagree since the gears are still controlled by the driver. ❓

This is Kind Of A Big Deal(tm)

Amen. Race fixing should have been an automatic ban for life (well, and it was for a bit). How any team can look at him and say “he’s our guy” tells you a lot about that team’s values…

So are we now going to see drivers with a grid spotter so they can get right down to the inch of what’s legal in their grid slot?
