I’ve been seeing posts from r/Medals on my feed lately. Very impressed with how some users can look at three dozen ribbons and tell you the whole history of a veteran’s time in war. A lot of the posts seem to be sad stories about people emotionally separated from their husbands and fathers. 1/2
