Just finished a fantastic conversation with @josh-bailey.bsky.social about his excellent new film STOLEN KINGDOM. It is absolutely wild to watch a documentary film about stuff that I covered as news five years ago. www.cinemablend.com/news/2483319...

Well THAT's an email I wasn't expecting today.

Imagine having a billion dollars and using to dismantle democracy and not just spending all your time at theme parks.

Honestly shocked it's taken this long. Walden's lack of public appearances has made her seem less likely as the next CEO. You can bet Iger and the other candidates will be watching her performance.

My morning was dedicated to two news stories which I have decided to call my "Why Do Women Insist On Making Movies?" Duology. www.cinemablend.com/star-wars/lo...

It's going to be a "worst people on the internet are unjustifiably happy" sort of day.

Be fair to Florida, close it there too. www.cinemablend.com/theme-parks/...

Be fair to Florida?

This is the real problem with the micromanaging crap and it's the reason actually good managers don't waste their time with it. If your employees are spending their time justifying their job, they're not doing their job.

This is honestly the real issue for this movie (and many others). Snow White is probably a perfectly fine movie, and if a perfectly fine box office was all that was needed, it could be a success. But when you MUST make a billion dollars to be profitable, you're screwed if you're just "good enough."

Finally reading Cory Doctorow's DOWN AND OUT IN THE MAGIC KINGDOM which now feels weird because the Liberty Belle and Rivers of America still exist in the far future, but I choose to believe the people who took over that section of the park just converted it all back

This is some bullshit

There's a point at which listening to theme park BGM shifts from pleasantly remembering your last visit to just being frustrated you're not there now.

This is the behavior of the shittiest micromanaging sales managers I've ever had.

We used to be a proper country

I know every theme park does this now, but there's something about it in a park designed specifically for young children that wigs me out.

Universal Kids Resort has revealed its lands and it can all be summed up in the words "@aliciastella.bsky.social was right"

It turns out I know far more about the likes of Logan Paul and Mr. Beast than I would have guessed and let me just say I am NOT happy about this fact.

For a second I thought Martin Scorsese was directing Jungle Cruise 2 and I got very excited. deadline.com/2025/02/scor...

The Evil Queen has a song in the Snow White remake. This movie is going to be BONKERS and I cannot wait.

Magic Kingdom is about to go through its most significant change since it opened over 50 years ago and I couldn't be more excited. www.cinemablend.com/theme-parks/...

My dad used to remark when filling out his ballot, "I don't even know of a parade they've been in," regarding our reps who never seemed to do anything of consequence. To all my state and federal reps: If I don't hear your name now, I'll be voting for your primary challenger

We have my daughter signed up for this program. She's three and she loves books even though she can't read them yet. It's like magic. When your base is the low information voter, it's in your best interest to keep people ignorant.

Our resident Q, @mrcontroversy83.bsky.social with his take on the Bond news. This is massive news and its impact on the franchise cannot be understated. www.cinemablend.com/movies/james...

All the talk about DisneyQuest today reminded me about the real place that I wish would come back to Disney Springs (and Downtown Disney) THE VOID. the coolest VR experience of my life and I so wish I could do it again.

Universal Horror Unleased Will Open In Las Vegas August 14. Tickets are on sale now. www.universalhorrorunleashed.com

It's weird that in a few days, the only attraction at a domestic Disney park with a VQ is going to be World of Color.

I write about roller coasters and popcorn buckets for a living.
