What I and the nation need to know is what you're going to do about it besides post, Pops.

I'm proud I don't have Andrew Cuomo's record of corruption, scandal and disgrace. And the name is M-A-M-D-A-N-I.

"To Mr. Cuomo, I've never had to resign in disgrace. I've never cut Medicaid. I have never stolen hundreds of millions of dollars from the MTA. I have never hounded the thirteen women who credibly accused me of sexual harassment. I have never sued for their gynecological records." - Zohran just now.

Russ Vought's CFPB tried to do a corporate pardon with a mortgage broker who had already entered a final judgment and paid a fine for egregious lending discrimination. The judge looked at it and said, "No." storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

The oppression of the entire Latino community of Los Angeles right now is difficult to convey. Normally vibrant local retail areas of East LA and SELA look like ghost towns this week. People are afraid to leave their homes. Parents afraid to go to work. It's US citizens too. Anyone with brown skin

My dad lives in SELA. He is a Mexican immigrant with an accent. He is sad and angry and afraid to travel. But he wants to protest and I’ve had to talk him out of it; I’ve had to tell him that they will crack his head open and it doesn’t matter that he’s 74 or a U.S. citizen.

It's a truly jarring split screen that Kristi Noem's goons attacking Sen Padilla happened at almost the exact same time as 16 Dem senators crossed lines to vote with the GOP to invoke cloture on the crypto bill, forfeiting any leverage. Dems need to act like an opposition.

God bless the woman who yelled ā€˜that’s a lie’ when Mike Johnson started lying about Alex Padilla. More of that please and thank you.

Media keeps cranking out euphemistic headlines while he's openly screaming that he's a white supremacist

Yes he’s a dictator. No he doesn’t have to remove elections to prove that. He just hasn’t done it yet.

FIRST ON MSNBC: Sen. Alex Padilla, D-Calif., breaks down the video of him being forcibly removed and cuffed from a DHS press conference.

Nailed it. Existing-while-brown syndrome.

after growing up in California i lived in some places where it's bad to be from California, so i downplayed that part of myself for a while. but this week has turned me back into a California evangelist. i'm Calimaxxing. certified Calihead. we got a fuckin' bear on our flag bro

(Reuters) - The role of Elon Musk's SpaceX in an ambitious new U.S. missile defense system is in question following the dramatic feud last week between the billionaire entrepreneur and President Donald Trump, according to three people familiar with the project. www.reuters.com/business/aer...

4 Democrats didn’t vote and another 3 Democratic seats are vacant due to member deaths Four Democratic absences (Correa, Beatty, Randall and Norcross) and the deaths of Grijalva, Turner and Connelly left the Democrats down 7 votes as the bill passed by 2. Two Republicans also didn’t vote.

if you want to start winning winnable votes like this one, you will need new party leadership. or we can just stay the course. whatever

I may have spent more time in South Dakota through the Rise of Kristi Noem than some other national reporters. Sadly, her Trump-Barbie cosplay does not come as a surprise.

Israeli attack on Iran could come within few days, as soon as Sunday www.wsj.com/world/middle...

I live in Los Angeles. Most have no idea anything is happening -- if not for the press. LA County population is larger than 40 states. Max protest crowd (10k? 15k?) easily topped by soccer matches. Pride parade at least 10x crowd AT SAME TIME. Protests matter but fed response more insurrection-y.

Important context for coverage of Sen. Padilla's getting manhandled and cuffed today at DHS Sec Noem's press conference: Padilla is ranking member on the Senate subcommittee that oversees immigration.

Note that the NYT write up mentions Noem saying that she spoke to him (reasonable!), but not the part where she claims he didn’t identify himself (liar!). Perhaps because the previous paragraph would have made it awkward to quote the lie. It also uses ā€œlungedā€ and ā€œdisruptedā€ so

Every word of this is a lie. The facts: āœ…There are approx 15 childhood vaccines, not 69-92 āœ…Every vaccine is safety tested then continually monitored āœ…ACIP members are required to divest financial interests related to vaccines & recuse when conflicts exist āœ…His new members are anti-vaxxers 1/

Insanity.

California, 10 other states sue to block Trump from killing 2035 EV rules reut.rs/4jLr3Li

After voting to rip away food, healthcare, and other resources for families, Republicans just voted to slash PBS and critical foreign aid. The cruelty is the point. www.huffpost.com/entry/house-...

After clearly identifying himself, the California senator was pushed into a hallway, forced to the ground, and handcuffed.

noem lied and must face consequences

We could find out within hours.

I know these comparisons are tiring but: Imagine if the Secret Service and FBi wrestled Tom Cotton or Josh Hawley to the ground and cuffed them for interrupting Sec. Mayorkas speaking at a press conference?! The impeachment articles would fly! And in fact, they DID impeach Mayorkas for less….

About 6 in 10 Americans say in a new AP/Norc poll that Trump's Saturday parade is ā€œnot a good useā€ of government money, including the vast majority of people, 78%, who neither approve nor disapprove of the parade overall. apnorc.org/projects/mos...

schumer and jeffries have consistently been behind the curve every single crisis all year. it would be irrational *not* to demand a change in leadership. how can we trust them to get the response to the next crisis right, or the one after that? the stakes are only getting higher. ridiculous
