One of the biggest lies of Hollywood is that 2D animation is more expansive than 3D and that it is less lucrative. When you just look at "high numbers", then maybe. But when a 2D movie like Little Mermaid (1989) was "just" $25m and made $250m worldwide is that a higher success and you could do more.
