Ben Avon stravaig for snow sculpture off the common ways. My many glissades baffled the ptarmigan. I'd dropped off sleep kit earlier to lighten load + lack of food, else I'd have dug in for the night in the prime snowbanks. Glad I hadn't baled earlier. A long day out, feet ruined #cairngorms

The watershed ridge above Annandale and Tweedsmuir this morning. Cold wind, but overheating if out of it. Very much late Winter. Land on the Dumfriesshire side of the dyke (right) is no longer grazed by sheep and there are young trees in the glen below. #Hills #Scotland #Rewilding

Love that subway trains in Helsinki area are all barrierless. Basically you are trusted to have a ticket. They will check the tickets occasionally, but otherwise no barriers, helps with occasional peak times, and generally makes you feel like you are trusted human being.
