This is also generally how you exclude minorities and women from “serious discussions” BTW - pick on something ridiculous and irrelevant (esp clothes, hair) and make it the entire basis for a character assassination pile on

I get it now. That noise the internet used to make when connecting. It was the ghosts of the future trying to warn us to turn off the internet.
