My “small town” No Kings demonstration this morning. Couldn’t begin to capture the full extent. I think the estimate as of yesterday, they expected about 800. I’d say we had a couple thousand. An island of hope?

I’m at our little town’s “smallish” No Kings rally. I’m estimating probably 1500-2000 people lining the streets all surrounding this intersection. Amazing!

I turned on the hockey game tonight just in time to catch the national anthems. Sang along to (most of) Oh Canada, then started with the US anthem. But I couldn’t finish; I broke down crying, literally. It’s not right anymore. It’s not the same. It’s no longer the US that that anthem is for. I weep.
