Man. I keep playing new games that I'm excited to try, and then feeling underwhelmed. I think part of it is just general anhedonia, but maybe I don't enjoy playing games as much as I used to? Either way I guess I should take a break from buying new ones

Might be an unpopular opinion, but one trope that always, ALWAYS annoys me is when characters who are supposed to be at all powerful or formidable get killed off suddenly and unceremoniously. Usually the intent is to make the threat feel 'real,' but for me it usually does the opposite.
