I've been around. You've probably seen me around. I've never been cool. I just know cool people and might know a few cool things. No DMs but I do Signal. Opinions ≠ my employer. #security #physicalsecurity #lawenforcement #natsec #osint #raspberrypi

I despise two things in life: 1. The idea that any of my children would ever become Red Sox fans. 2. Admitting that Binny had a great game. Thank goodness that only one of those things happened tonight.

Building coalitions isn't always about elections. Yhe Democratic Party has waged itself in a fight against the right for quite some time and painted itself as diametrically opposed to it. The issue isn't that the Party isn't doing enough but that what the Party was doing didn't win any new votes.

The splinters are there, folks. The left would be better off bringing these folks in rather than leaving them disaffected. Most of these folks are just like everyone else - broke, tired, and frustrated. Many are low-information voters who just wanted to thumb their nose at "those in charge".

Alexa, who the fuck keeps our nuke stockpile and is it a good idea to deem them worthy of firing without scrutinizing that as a consideration? Asking for an administration now trying to unfire them.

I will do my best to attempt to do what I did on the other site. I'll post here about stuff relating to security stuff.

The splinters in the right's coalition are fairly significant but go unnoticed by the left, simply because they have long tried to pretend the right was impotent and singular. That's proven to be myopic, at best. At its worst, it's clearly dangerous and ruinous.

Last night, we broke the news that the top US election security watchdog has frozen all of its election security work and is reviewing everything it has done to help state and local officials secure their elections for the past eight years. https://wrd.cm/3QkfGh3

I'm over here now, folks. For good. The other place is.....yeah, not for me.

The growing rift between HAM radio folks and members of the far right is..... fucking hilarious.

@faineg.bsky.social and I told you so. abcnews.go.com/Politics/lea...

Been away for a bit. Went to the other site for a bit to cross-pollinate some stuff. I'll be posting a TON more here too super soon. The plan is to try to have as many dope security conversations on as many platforms as I can. Same OG, folks.

This looks dope as fuck. Someone made a POTUS speech tracker that updates on real time. www.reddit.com/r/OSINT/s/aY...

Unusual: nuclear explosive usable material (Pu) involved. common: mass of SNM apparently small (not sig quantity or lower?); bulk materials offered NOT weapons usable (yellowcake, thorium); STING! www.iaea.org/newscenter/p... Questions: amount, location, history of rest of Pu if any? #NukeSky

In a lot of cases, this is due to the source providing an overwhelming amount of data that could make it difficult determining what's worth an investigator's time or not. These referrals can often be a dam release versus a firehouse of intelligence. Most of which isn't necessarily actionable.

A new twist on "pig butchering". Not in the least bit surprised it came from Hong Kong where this scam is especially prevalent in where it's conducted. Targets are usually throughout Asia.

A solid read and an amazing referral I got many moons ago on Twitter. Thesis: CLANDESTINE COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS apps.dtic.mil/sti/citation...

I can't help but wonder how much #cartel wealth jumped due to crypto surges this year. The article doesn't cover this in particular. But if you consider crypto to be a #moneylaundering vector for the #cartels, then it's not too much to want to ponder this. insightcrime.org/news/gamecha...

Nothing extraordinarily cool. Buuuuuuuuuuuuut..... It could be helpful when identifying a vulnerability to something you were hoping this could mitigate. You could address this by using double pane glass or using alternating patterns. youtube.com/shorts/APyhR...

I wouldn't say "largest" but it is an extensive list of the "Awesome OSINT" repositories on GitHub. #osint #tools www.reddit.com/r/OSINT/s/rk...

I REALLY wish more people would do more stuff like this when showing OSINT work products. Excellent job here. www.reddit.com/r/GreatOSINT...

Someone put together this amazing tool to track the war in Ukraine via Telegram. It maps out events as they're posted on Telegram (from other sources). Pretty dope #osint tool.

If things hadn't cooled off....

This has been one of the best Twitter fights I've watched.

That's some HIGH praise from one of the most acclaimed experts on the topic of extremism.

I can't help but wonder what kind of friends you can buy with $500,000,000,000.00. If your enemies only consist of Trump, Lara Loomer, toxic bros, some super online Boomers and their grandkids, Azalea Banks, and most of Bluesky, that still makes him not that much unlike many Americans.

I just watched Robert Brooks being kicked and beaten. I have tried multiple times to say something articulate about what I watched. I can't even begin to say how I feel.

Told ya.

Last week, I told you there was a growing "civil war" in the GOP between fiscal conservatives and social conservatives loyal to Trump. This week, I was proven right. Stay tuned because this will get far worse for the GOP before it gets better.

This is something I saw a BUNCH of on Twitter. Glad to see someone write about this, finally.

ALWAYS sound advice.

Pretty cool map of local news "deserts" and I can't help but wonder how a lack of connection with the news as it happens locally shapes how one forms opinions about news outside of their local area.

Sometimes, I think people just want a story to be bad about someone so bad they attribute whatever is bad in the story directly solely to them. It would do us all a bit of good to not be so easily persuaded by the same bias that disinformation operatives count on when the stakes are a lot higher.
