I remember as a teenager in the 2000’s having my friend play a game, and I would just hang out and talk to them. I thought it was kinda funny at the time, but seeing that become a whole thing that millions of people do has been a bit surreal for me.

It occurs to me with Clair Obscur, Deltarune, OFF, Stray Children, and then remakes like Suikoden 1+2, the Lunar Collection, and Dragon Quest 1+2, that this might be the best year for turned based RPGs in a long time. I can't remember a year as good as this after the PS2 era.
