I take pride in being a 'COVID alarmist' because my concerns are entirely grounded in scientific evidence. I discuss what I observe through the microscope. The 'Covid alarmists' community consists of individuals who have chosen to stick with science.

Cool, can you pls stop referring to us as alarmists then, @nytimes.com?

Joe, I'm sure Vinay would appreciate a signed copy 😂😂😂

@lepapillonblue.bsky.social The sheer genius of MAGAts never fails to amuse me. Nice to see the WH is now importing sex traffickers and mysoginists to Florida. Tate a Largo

Nick Anderson cartoon.... When a picture tells a thousand words

It's laudable that this is happening, but 2 points worth noting. First, this isn't a 'bird flu plan' per se, this is a 'get the price of eggs down' plan. Second, and connected to the first point, this doesn't address dairy cattle. H5N1 needs to be combatted holistically. www.bbc.com/news/article...

Radical take: the U.S. health secretary should have some kind of credentials in health, science or patient care

5 years since Covid emerged and access to life-saving vaccines now hangs in the balance for millions of Clinically Vulnerable people.

In 🇬🇧 schools have been neglected even on repairs (exposed electricals, RAAC, asbestos & roof leaks). Windows don’t open We have immediate affordable solutions for clean indoor air though Schools can provide it per child per year for the price of a pizza** How? 1/

Here are the proposition for a new calculation related to the classroom scenario used in the research paper below. This is a more unfavorable case, but also quite common, unfortunately. A short-range/long-range risk comparison would be great.

From @who.int: “People can be reinfected with SARS-CoV-2 multiple times. Each time they have a risk of developing post #COVID19 condition… preventive measures such as use of masks, personal hygiene & ventilation in high-risk situations continues to be important” Link ⬇️ #LongCovid

“A healthy [child] wants a thousand things, a sick [child] only wants one.” - Confucius "Many of you know that my son is still battling complications from Long COVID. We are well into the 5 year of his decline which began when he was 10 years old. I use the word decline deliberately" #LongCovidKids

Gene Hackman, his wife Betsy and their dog all found deceased in their home. No foul play suspected. How absolutely awful. www.santafenewmexican.com/news/local_n...

This Nature editor describes her personal experience of measles age 15. Don't let this (or worse) happen to your child.

Accessibility in healthcare isn’t just about ramps. Clinically Vulnerable people know it’s about safety for all patients, especially those at higher risk from airborne viruses. We shouldn't fight for basic protections like masking and ventilation. Safe care is accessible care.

The way it’s described this is not ‘honour killing’, it is extreme abusive control. No need for fancy cultural labels here. It’s plain murder. RIP Rania.

When you’re chronically ill, it can be incredibly hard to maintain a baseline. There’s so much pressure to pretend that you’re better. To smile and deliver a convincing “I’m fine”. To play through the pain. Sometimes the best thing you can do for your body is rest, yet it’s so hard to do:

“I had no idea it was THIS bad!” We’ve all heard this from a friend or family member who becomes chronically ill. Despite watching us suffer for years, they never understand until it happens to them. Please listen to disabled people. It IS that bad. Protect your health. There’s no do overs.

When you’re chronically ill, you have to endure people telling you to “just try harder” or insinuating that you don’t want to get better They don’t understand that health is temporary. Anyone can become disabled at any time It’s not a moral failing. It’s not about “trying harder”. It just happens.

If you want to stand up to fascists, wear a mask. It’s one of the simplest and easiest things you can do to resist. It protects your health, while also protecting disabled and marginalized people who are in grave danger from fascist policies.

If you’re thinking about not vaccinating your children against measles, please speak with those who watched kids suffer, be disabled and die from the disease before we had vaccines. Almost everyone from the pre-vaccine days has a horror story (or many). It’s not mild. Vaccines work.

How about instead of cutting SSA employees and making it even harder for people to access benefits, we give everyone a basic living wage? It would greatly reduce the paperwork and administrative costs of disability applications, while ensuring better quality of life for all.

Must read. Basically says the pandemic was as terrible as the 'alarmists' predicted but "our memories are so warped by denial, suppression and sublimation that Covid revisionism no longer even qualifies as news." www.nytimes.com/2025/02/26/o...

For anyone on LinkedIn (sorry) this is a fantastic & heartful story from a VP at Google about his son's 5 years of decline with long COVID www.linkedin.com/pulse/growin...

Humanity: "our kids are our future" US Leadership: This kid just died of measles, but some doctor and scientists said there is too little information to assume the vaccine would have prevented this death." Bullshit. No decent doctor or scientists would say that.

I can’t believe that we are at the point where we need to constantly remind everyone that children aren’t meant to die from vaccine-preventable diseases.

We are more than our ability to be cogs in the machine of capitalism. This idea that only those who “contribute” are worthy and that everyone MUST contribute is rooted in eugenics and fascism. People relying on SNAP aren’t the problem. The billionaire oligarch & his friends are the problem.

“The canceled FDA advisory meeting comes days after a CDC vaccine advisory committee meeting was postponed” Believe people when they tell you who they are. RFK Jr is anti-vaccine, and his appointment will have devastating consequences. If you’re not up to date on boosters, get them now.

RFK at his confirmation hearing: “I am not anti-vaccine” After RFK confirmed as HHS head: - CDC flu vaccine campaign pulled - Childhood vaccine schedule reviewed - Federal funding to schools with COVID vaccine mandates withdrawn - Meeting to update flu vaccines cancelled
