One of my lovely students sent me this article from 2008, asking whether the government would deliver on its Independent Living Strategy by 2025. She commented 'I guess they didn't?' 😥https://www.theguardian.com/society/2008/mar/05/disability.equality

Widespread media coverage about a recent study suggested over half of Gen Z want the UK to be run by a dictator. But our research suggests it's more like only 6% who hold this view in reality. @bobbyduffy.bsky.social & @pmorini.bsky.social explain why this matters for @uk.theconversation.com ⬇️ 🧵

This piece, on patrimonialism, the governing style of Trump 2.0, just nails it www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv... (cc @tomoshea.org )

@thekingsfund.bsky.social Hi there, your (brilliant) digital library is missing one of your most important publications! The record for An Ordinary Life is there but it's missing the pdf. archive.kingsfund.org.uk/concern/publ...

Could there be a better metaphor for this moment than an ad on X with a fake news story trolling British establishments, that is promoting a financial scam?

X is completely down the toilet now - I used to get adverts for weird shoes and underwear, but now I get adverts for fake 'BBC' news stories purporting to be about Peston being sued by the Bank of England, which are actually promoting a financial scam app fullfact.org/online/fake-...

This is just awful. Devastated for my former colleagues at Cardiff University about these course closures and job losses.
