Sly Stone doc hit me as hard as the Luther doc. The beauty and joy and the heartbreak. Luther was in the air I breathed growing up. Sly was discovered in Mom's vinyl as a teen, where I reached back into time via hip-hop samples and found the blueprint to everyone I love from Prince to D'Angelo.
