Just finished Jedi: Survivor. Perhaps surprising no one, it was really really good. All the Star Wars you vould want with really good characters to boot. My only significant complaint? Double rancor fight. Complete with a one shot mechanic. That one I loathe.

#wheeloftime #firsttimereader "Crown of Swords" thoughts. This was a book of ups and downs. The beginning felt like it would be "Lord of Chaos" part 2, but the middle had some really great moments. Nynaeve and Mat had some standout scenes and overall I liked the character growth.

#wheeloftime Random worldbuilding detail that I loathe. Aes Sedai, (and others), just choosing not to sweat by sheer force of will. Do you want heat stroke? Because this is how you get heat stroke. I've also decided that rampant heat exhaustion is the root cause of most Aes Sedai infighting.

Maev had to travel across most of Ilsabard on her own hiding from the Garleans, so she learned to eat most anything she could catch. While she prefers a good steak, she is far more willing to eat vilekin than most and knows some surprisingly good recipes for them.
