When you need a break from the doom… this is delightful!

I followed a few accounts on here this week that I assumed were people moving over from Twitter and the posts have been suspect. Please be careful when following accounts that look legit. If it smells funny, it probably is.

It’s been over a year and this place finally feels like it’s hitting some form of critical mass. Tried to find everyone I followed over there but it’s been many months since I’ve been active there and the download was NOT user friendly. Floating between here and Threads until we hit a clear winner.

There is no good time to get Covid, but having it this week while the city has been largely shut down for snow has made it pretty easy to just relax and stay in bed. Feeling better already.

Just saw a post from an author I read and it made me think about how there are a few authors whose audiobook narrators really mesh well to the point that I prefer to listen than read. Adrian McKinty’s Duffy, Ruth Ware, Harry Potter books all come to mind. Any that you feel similar? #audiobooks

Is this app unstable for anyone else? Invariably every time I come heremy screen will, at some point, start randomly flipping through posts and making it impossible to read any further. #glitchy

I can spot the exact moment the Kissinger news broke by the very dark post about a nameless individual. Is this the moment Bluesky arrived?

Dipped my toe back into the former site to try to get info on a breaking news story. Found the posts there to be so gross and disgusting, had to leave almost immediately with no real knowledge gained. One of these other sites has to pop for news soon, please!

I will admit that even though I still think the Pandamania is a little much, I was a little sad to wake up to the news that the pandas were leaving town today. I kept the news on all the way to wheels up.
