I was QA on Thief. Favorite memory was finding a non-violent way through the front door of Bafford's. At game start, there's a servant on the city streets, heading back to the manor.

To me the best thing about Thief was that at the hardest difficulty, you're told "you're a thief, not a murderer".

I didn’t get a PC til relatively late in my life, I was 18 in 1999 when I finally joined the party. The very first game I bought for it was Thief. Later that day I also bought Half life and Grim Fandango. I’m always pretty proud of that starter set.
