More Americans voted for Senator Alex Padilla than for 48 of the 53 red state GOP U.S. Senators combined.

I’ll tell you what. If you voted for Trump, and now it’s coming back to bite you, I don’t want to hear about how sad you are. I want to know what you’re gonna do about it. Start there.

Some of you have been out there every day this week blocking ICE trucks and being tear-gassed. This weekend, a lot of people will be showing up for the first time. It takes a variety of tactics and people to force change. Do your own thing, and direct your disdain at those in power. Do not split.

You got exactly what you voted for you rotten pig asshole, I hope you never forget it and that it haunts you to your grave

When I heard the mom of a trans girl say the night her daughter came out to her was the first time she'd ever seen her child happy, I knew it was a story I needed to share. These are the stories the public isn't hearing. An honor to get to report on 3 family's journeys for @teenvogue.com.

The sole criteria I will be voting on in the 2028 primary is which candidate credibly promises to put the largest number of Trump officials in prison. I do not care about any of their other policies.

This indictment is no more justified than the original charges. I will not be intimidated. My full statement:

"Tenants in Kansas City are declaring victory after eight months on rent strike—the longest such action in the city’s history...an outcome that lends momentum to efforts to adapt labor union strategies for housing fights." inthesetimes.com/article/rent...

Hi, pardon me, hello: mass protest in the face of fascism is a great idea and in fact the only thing that works to actually combat it. anyone saying otherwise is an idiot. sorry, i cannot anymore with this shit. do the fucking reading!

It's not feminism that has made men feel insecure about how to be a man. It's patriarchy: demands that men become the violent daddy-oppressors of themselves. It's not feminism which makes men feel weak and irrelevant. That's patriarchy: splits men into successful patriarchs and whiney failures

The biggest mistake I see in discussions of trans people's healthcare is the idea that hormones and the like are some special service just for us when really all kinds of people access the same health care for all kinds of reasons but they are *withheld* from us because we are trans

If I had a nickel for every white person who told me that ignoring racism was the solution to racism, I'd be a very rich person who still faced racism.

Joe Biden relitigation is catnip for the press because it gives them a chance to avoid saying difficult things about the present situation we are all in while also getting to talk about themselves

There's an increasingly unhealthy dynamic in the mainstream where the Democrats are tacitly treated as the only party capable of responsible governance, but the base of the far right are treated as the only people capable of conferring legitimacy or truth.

"Moderates" or "centrists" don't have fixed positions. So, you can't actually "meet them where they are" cause political discourse is constantly moving them. And if you keep trying - as Dems do - they will keep moving in the only direction they get pulled, to the right and eventually off the cliff.

Like a lot of things I think the "masculinity crisis" is just a result of people having their role in violence pointed out to them and then deciding to change nothing about themselves and instead blame the people pointing it out. They don't want purpose or validation; they yearn for ignorance.

I bet it’d be a bestseller.

the goal of these companies is to commoditize your entire life via transactions w them. they want to charge you for access to entertainment, socializing, memories, work, third spaces, and now, your friends. they want to be walled self-sufficient rentier economies where life itself is tenancy & labor

I don't like the revisionist history for many reasons but especially because it conditions people to believe that protest has *majority* support and participation in real time. It simply never does. So don't protest according to what the majority says is palatable to them.
