Paradise “The Day” — holy shit. SKB, Marsden, the writers. Everyone involved 😙🤌🏻

I’ve been mulling over a Severance spec idea, and the most recent episode just lined up perfectly for it to actually make sense. (The last thing I need to write right now is a spec btw)

Today’s show was my last at CNN. My closing message: It’s never a good time to bow down to a tyrant… don’t give in to the lies. Don’t give in to fear. Hold on to the truth… and hope.

What is it with Dan Fogelman and writing pilots that make me want to immediately watch from the beginning as soon as the episode ends?! #Paradise

The anticipated killer android thriller #Companion, from the team behind Barbarian, is out this month. Here’s a trailer:

Devastated for everyone affected by the fires in LA. Be safe, friends. Hope this comes to an end soon. Sending lots of love your way.

Really enjoyed this blog post by Colby Day. Appreciate the peek behind the curtain.

Watching Fox’s MURDER IN A SMALL TOWN, which I’m enjoying and hoping for a season 2, but oh man do I cringe when Northwest-based shows can’t pronounce local names right. So if you’re looking, I’m available to be your PNW consultant 😉 Also, writing small town/ PNW mysteries is kind of my thing.

Every neighborhood needs a hero. Marvel Animation's all-new series #YourFriendlyNeighborhoodSpiderMan, streaming January 29 on @DisneyPlus.

The Family Stone. Underrated Christmas movie. 🍿

Just finished Speak No Evil and holy smokes, that was a tense slow burn. James McAvoy does menacing like no other.

It’s been a little bit of a rough week…for various reasons. But I’m feeling thankful for my writing circle and having people I can reach out to when needed. Also, ended today with a little zap of encouragement that I needed.

My writing process is usually: a) I got this b) well, fuck c) wait that part was real good d) wait no that part sucks e) I am a god of this place f) the fuck is this shit, who do I think I am, why am I here g) oh man I just figured it all out h) mistakes were made I) existential dread

Shrinking is a fucking delight.

And now part 2 of my double feature. Wife and I having a little date night at Gladiator 2.

Kids are with the in-laws, wife is at work, and I have the day off. Taking a break from writing to go watch Heretic this morning. #scriptsky

If you see this, post a photo of a beach from your camera roll. #oregoncoast

If any of my scripsky mutuals has access to TSwift tickets for the upcoming BC shows, let me know. Trying to perform a Christmas miracle

We need to bring back the anthology-style YA horror like Are You Afraid of the Dark and Goosebumps. I love serialized stories as much as anyone, but there’s something about one off stories and I think there’s a market for it. (My kids. My kids are the market)

Thirteen (an actual baker’s dozen) films to get to know me: A Few Good Men The Goonies Jurassic Park Signs A Quiet Place The Assassination of Jesse James Moneyball Spider-Man (esp 2, and No Way Home) The Village Gladiator The Martian I Love You, Man Lion King

Y’all know that a baker’s dozen is 13 though, right?
