Its my @deno.land Denoversary today and I'm feeling incredibly thankful to have landed amongst such a brilliant team of folks. They've made me feel welcome, taught me loads and celebrated wins with me. I'm making cool things, at a company that wants to make their ecosystem better for everyone.

It's happening now!

My pettest of peeves: Receiving a comment in a PR review that tells me that something is wrong or should be changed that doesn't use the "suggestion" functionality.

Heard of Deno but haven't had the time to try it out? Join @thisisjofrank.bsky.social at TheJam.dev where she'll give an introduction to the runtime and its built in tooling to make your developer experience delightful. Tickets are free, so what are you waiting for? cfe.dev/events/the-j...

Very much looking forward to talking at cfe.dev/events/the-j... in a week. What an all-star lineup to be amongst! I'll be giving an intro to Deno for those of you who have 'heard of Deno but not had time to try it yet'. Tickets are free, so what are you waiting for?!

Friend: How was your day? Me: Oh you know, cried over JavaScript. Friend: On a Saturday?! She gets it.

For today's standup - I'll be continuing with the work from yesterday. Current blockers: Puff.

I got my #coderclaws upgraded. 💅

I feel like there is probably no tasteful way to advertise cremation services, but "start 2025 off with some good news" is likely not one of them...

Alongside the dice box, I made some glowing inspiration tokens for my regular D&D GMs. They have laser etched guild sigils in acrylic and an LED filament which is powered by a coin battery. @mattgrayy.es and I massively over-engineered a 3D printed battery case/built in switch for the back.

Where was that boat going?! #nosferatu

when I asked @deno.land if they’d be interested in being the official nuggie sponsor for Leet Heat, they weren’t just immediately down for a fun and silly idea — they ALREADY HAD a mockup of a Deno Nuggies landing page check the first “commercial break” for Pure Art codetv.link/leet-heat/s1e2

I made a gift for my D&D GM because we're coming to a finale of a story. It's a dice box with the sigils of the guilds in the world she's created etched on the sides and a moon on the top because her name is Luna. Felt lined with magnets to keep the lid in place and a lil dice tray inside.

The place where I've been training rings is closing down and they're selling off their stuff 😭 (by the end of the week) If you're based around east London and looking for a bargain on training equipment. Take a look docs.google.com/spreadsheets...

TFW you're personally invited to submit a proposal to a conference, submit three options and then receive a generic "We had so many submissions" rejection. 🧂🧂🧂😅🥲

Happy "don't forget to do your Duolingo before midnight" day. 💖

Needed a "back to top" button for the docs. Made this little example, cos I'm loving the scroll-timeline CSS property allowing for a CSS only, appear on scroll, smooth scrolling, back to top. (chromium/edge only for now) codepen.io/thisisjofran...

Is this: "z-index" a "zed index" or a "zee index"?

My "top faces for 2024" according to Google Photos... Puff, Pickle, myself and Puff's butt. Seems about right.

And, if you're interested @jsconf.bsky.social Chile, here are also the slides (with full speaker notes) for the @deno.land talk that you didn't get because it was too long! 😅 🦕 #JSConfCL docs.google.com/presentation...

Hola #JSConfCL, here are the notes from my talk on @deno.land if you'd like to go over what we covered 💖🦕 docs.google.com/document/d/1...

¡Hola @jsconf Chile!

Have some inspiration for your day ✨

If you're wondering how to set up a @react.dev + @vite.dev project with a @deno.land deno.json file (instead of a package.json), I've made a template which will set you up a React + Vite + TS project - github.com/denoland/rea.... Let me know if it is helpful!
