#DoctorWho season 2 coming April 12th confirmed with today's advert.

For #doctorwho fans who love @robertshearman.bsky.social (which is everyone), some enterprising and clever who fans have pulled together some footage using AI for the excellent #BigFinish story 'The Chimes Of Midnight'. So, so clever. www.youtube.com/watch?v=x655...

Ahead of tonight’s Uncanny, I’m rewatching last weeks Ep with my Wife. Fascinating, both with childhood experiences I had but also the awful experiences my late Pops had growing up in various catholic orphanages. He never had a good word to say about Nuns or Priests.

20 minutes until new Uncanny. 20 minutes until new Uncanny. This is not a drill. Spooky goings on incoming. As you were.

A while ago, I loved having the chance to talk about one of my favourite bits of Doctor Who, namely ‘The Deadly Assassin’ for @tobyhadoke.bsky.social on his podcast. First two eps are up on YouTube and on all podcast providers.

Been watching Ridley. I think this chap is clearly an utter wrong ‘un and no mistake ! @tobyhadoke.bsky.social

News of new extra Uncanny has made my day. Can’t wait ! www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/...

We have to go back… Following the anniversary of this iconic show which sparked the start of my rewatch, I’m on my first revisited Ep of Lost for 2025. Unsurprisingly this still holds up as an amazing piece of TV drama even now. A clever, layered conundrum of a thriller with a big emotional heart.

Nice to see Michael C Hall, star of the Bowie musical Lazarus do a cover of Let’s Dance, whilst dressed as a Wolf on The Masked Singer. As Dexter once said ‘Wolves come in many forms’

Been enjoying Haunted Ireland and Haunted Scotland. Where some actual odd spooky shit goes down! It’s been great to see Uncanny’s epic Dr Evelyn Hollow on the case. Anyways, enough of that. Still finally recovering from flu I’ve had since Xmas Eve. So, night night and don’t have nightmares.

2/2 A character in the Xmas Ep was called Anita, who also had a TARDIS keepsake and a car that was a blue TARDIS colour. Are they the same person? Is that Anita’s car outside Mrs Flood’s flat? Might explain how Mrs. Flood knows about a TARDIS and can time travel via hotel portals.

1/2 Loved the Doctor Who Xmas Ep ‘Joy To The World’. I posted on Gally Base on Boxing Day about something I’d noticed. It’s fun to see others have also picked up on it as well. Re: Mrs Flood. Mrs. Flood has a blue TARDIS colour door and was v odd about police boxes. She is played by Anita Dobson.

Tonight’s watch is Jonathan Ross Haunted Homecoming. Jonathan revisits his childhood home and haunts, picking up on all the legends and stories of the East End. I met JR a few times in the past. Top chap. Great fun to see where he grew up and watch the spooky going’s on.

With re colourised Doctor Who The War Games out, a big up to the epic & much beloved actor, Rudolph Walker, whom I’ve had the great pleasure to know and work with on EastEnders. A truly beautiful & talented gentleman. He talks with Anita Rani about his life & career. www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/epis...

Ooh. This is a bit special. Watching the new contemporary re edit of Doctor Who - The War Games in colour and it looks amazing, it moves along at a lick and really works thus far. The 5.1 mix is so atmospheric and immersive. Awesome.

Christmas time, Spooky Paddington and wine.

Doctor Who season 7 Blu-ray! Awesome. Bring it on.

Loved the new Superman teaser. Looked awesome. Supes looked great. Lex looked great. Lois looked great. But let’s be honest, really there is only one real star.

Time for more of the epic Uncanny Goth Doctor who is Evelyn Hollow, in my fathers home town Galway on Spooked Ireland.

Back on The Avengers series three and it nearly always brings me a known Who actor in the mix.

Me back in the day when my Dad would put on Christmas shows for the elderly. I got roped into a naff photo op by the local rag!

Our hotel room entrance seemed familiar !

I wonder if they call this Giant Robot Avenue

The hotel shower was regenerative!

Back from a location well known to Who fans as it was used for both the third and fourth Doctors first stories…

Today, as every Christmas, I re-engage with my 15 year old self and my life long adoration of the magical BBC adaptation of The Box Of Delights, with a new Blu-Ray set. The beautiful making of documentary by Chris Chapman is clearly made with love. It is (yes I’m going to go there) splendiferous !

I don’t always wang on about retro TV. So I want to mention what a great series The Old Man (Disney +/ FX) is. Top-class spy action-thriller with an FBI head and Assassin/operative forced to pick up the pieces of their precarious history in later life. John Lithgow and Jeff Bridges star. Nuff said.

Wow. Loving the convention footage on the Blake’s 7 Blu ray set. They don’t do them like this anymore. Gareth Thomas and Michael Keating smoking on stage and Gareth has a pint in his hand. How awfully civilised. Does make for a lovely bit of relaxed banter between the group. Great fun.

Before bed, the Lost rewatch continues. First time in twenty years since I first saw this groundbreaking drama and it still holds up. Beautifully mysterious, intriguing, bold, poignant and it packs an emotional punch like no other. What a show.

What a nice surprise it was to see the Pets do a greatest hits medley to open this weeks Strictly in Chris’s hometown of Blackpool. Just perfection.

Today is a good day… The Blake’s 7 Blu-Ray has arrived. I’ve made a start on it and it immediately feels like a superior upgrade. The colours really do pop and the image is a much clearer and cleaner. Excellent work.

Yet more creepy clowns in tonight’s next watch, this retro animated Doctor Who. Specifically, the prequel to 2023’s The Giggle (sort of). I am finally on the William Hartnell story The Celestial Toymaker. You know what? It’s bloody wonderful. I love it! Excellent work.

Fabulous animated showcase by the talented Doctor Who illustrator Daryl Joyce. We need a whole series ! youtu.be/v9NsdWyDynY?...

My Aunt used to have a phobia around clowns. Tonight’s episode of The Avengers would challenge anyone. Not seen clowns as creepy as this since the Doctor Who episode ‘The Greatest Show In The Galaxy’.
