Deploying the military on U.S. soil against Americans was on page 555 of Project 2025. This was always their plan, and people voted for it anyway. America failed an open book test.

Newsom: Just moments ago, they called up an additional 2,000 National Guard troops. So now it’s 4,000 total—of which only 300 have actually been operationalized. And guess what? Yesterday, LAPD had to use their already scarce resources to protect those National Guardsmen and women…

Despicable.

Are you worried yet?

Thin skinned little would-be tyrants.

Sickening. And completely on brand for this corrupt, soulless administration

You misspelled accelerant.

Nick Anderson's newest cartoon for Raw Story illustrates how eager Trump is to 'put out the fire' in light of recent events. Cartoon by @andertoon.bsky.social for Raw Story #PoliticalCartoon #Cartoon #trump #LosAngeles #Protests #EditorialCartoon

“He’s exacerbated the conditions. He’s lit the proverbial match. He’s putting fuel on this fire.” https://trib.al/XqxAUjd

Trump is tougher on Gov. Newsome than he is on Vladimir Putin. It's all part of his war on blue states!

Nailed it

I'm posting this at least once a day and so should as many people as possible. As a child of the sixties protests at Columbia where I was pepper sprayed, billy clubbed and dragged by the hair, I know they will plant agitators in order to create the chaos they need to justify their violence. RESIST

DEVELOPING: No warning. No reason. NYPD officers rushed into the crowd and tackled a protester this weekend. His body was limp. He couldn’t move. He said, “I can’t feel my legs.” He might never walk again. For showing up. This is brutality. This is America.

I remember the good old days when Secretaries of Defense didn’t insert themselves unsolicited into domestic politics on a daily basis. Not what the job is supposed to be about.

And there you have it. ICE didn't target migrant workers in Kristi Noem's farms or Sarah Huckabee Sanders' meatpacking plants because they wanted to create a riot in LA as a pretext to declaring martial law. They don't care about undocumented migrants, they only care about controlling US citizens.

He creates violence where there is none…

What happened on January 6th was an insurrection, but Trump didn’t deploy the National Guard because he wanted the insurrection to succeed. What’s happening in LA is NOT an insurrection, but he did deploy the National Guard because he wants an excuse to use the Insurrection Act. Period.

www.yahoo.com/news/abc-new... Whatever happened to our first amendment rights!😡

Sen Bernie Sanders (I-VA) just now on CNN: "We have a President moving this country rapidly into authoritarianism. He's suing media who criticize him. He's going after law firms that have clients who were against him. He's suing universities who teach courses he doesn't like"

These are one sentence apart. Words, what do they mean. www.nytimes.com/2025/06/07/o...

Statement from Gavin Newsom: “The federal government is taking over the California National Guard and deploying 2,000 soldiers in Los Angeles — not because there is a shortage of law enforcement, but because they want a spectacle. Don't give them one. Never use violence. Speak out peacefully.”

#WorkTilYouDrop That’s the Republican plan for YOU

“The girls” are not fighting. Two grown ass megalomaniacal men with serious personality disorders are fighting and it’s both embarrassing as fuck and really dangerous for our country which is already a hot mess.

I’m not going to bore everyone here with Harvard stories (I’m at my 25yr reunion). But: * “They” say it’s the most well attended reunion. * The level of “fuck Trump” here is off the charts. * Even the Republicans I knew in college are like “fuck Trump.”

You don’t really have to ask yourself that question when you know and understand history then put it side-by-side with the moment we’re living right now. When the Fugitive Slave Act was passed in 1850, guess where slave patrols headed to snatch up escaped enslaved people? Hint: Not Mississippi

I loathe Musk as much as anyone else but for a sitting president to openly threaten a private citizen over what political donations he or she chooses to make is a reminder of how authoritarian this country is becoming by the day - by the hour even!
