Bluesky, unlike X, doesn’t punish posts with links. Which means there is no good reason (and frankly no good excuse) for posts with screengrabs of articles that don’t link to them. It’s bad for readers and bad for the writers whose work you’re using. Posting text? Link to where you got it.

I was once told by one of my favourite lecturers that I shouldn't pursue academia but instead become a writer. He said I had the temperament and originality to be a decent writer, given what he saw in seminars and on the page. I oftentimes wonder if he was right...
