This morning at Dept of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) HQ in DC as mandatory return to office began, this video played on loop for ~5 mins on screens throughout the building, per agency source. Building staff couldn’t figure out how to turn it off so sent people to every floor to unplug TVs.

I really don't get why people were so surprised by the Covid toilet paper shortage. Name one item in your home that you use every single day, that's non-perishable with infinity shelf life, and if you run out you're going to have a really bad time. Of course people stocked up.

My biggest grievance with the current discourse is that everyone is looking for easy answers. Distinct categories, clear labels, if we only consider one facet of a person at a time, then it's easy to think we know them.
