This ❤️ it’s also a fantastic way of finding out what we’re *actually* writing about too. For instance, I thought I was just writing a fantasy novel but it turns out I was actually writing about mental health and overcoming complex trauma.

I finished rewatching Russian Doll season 2 for the fourth time and I still can’t resist the emotional floodgates that pour open for me each time. I loved season 1 but season 2 was a masterpiece, and is especially relatable for women with intergenerational trauma. We desperately need season 3 🙏🏻

Some privileged folks need to know that it’s not possible to be “bigoted” towards groups who hold power/privilege. Why? Because even if spoken badly to they do not lose safety, power, job opportunities, societal acceptance, or have any losses besides their feelings getting hurt on social media.

My grandfather was an Irish immigrant in Canada (I’m a third gen Canadian) and I have an Irish last name, but sadly I don’t consider myself as Irish because I’ve never been to Ireland or had much connection with the culture. Then there’s folks from 6+ gens back saying they’re Irish and I’m like 🙄

The best way to be an ally on social media is to help build up the platforms of those on the margins rather than making a vague post of self-proclaimed allyship. Show your support by de-centering yourself and letting others take up space. Like/repost/interact with those who deserve spotlight.
