How about this for an idea? All of the other NATO countries get together and say, "If the USA withdraws from NATO, Ukraine will automatically be admitted." Sounds good to me.

Another week, another Friday night massacre. Interim US Attorney Ed Martin -- an election denialist and champion of pardons for J6 offenders-- sends letter arriving just before 5 pm firing dozens of prosecutors who worked on the January 6 prosecutions. Breathtaking corruption and pettiness.

Excellent post

As I said when Trump was elected the first time, "Well, it won't be boring." www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xcj4...

‘Baby in a dumpster.’ A spate of abandoned newborns unsettles Texas.
Critics say these cases are no coincidence in a state with one of the nation’s most restrictive abortion bans and near-bottom rankings on women’s health care. www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2024/...

In a letter to all 100 U.S. Senators, William Webster, the only person ever to lead both the FBI and CIA, wrote that neither Patel nor Gabbard meets the demands of top intelligence jobs. At 100 and still at the top of his game, Webster deserves to be heeded. www.politico.com/live-updates...

www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/202... McConnell can partially atone for the sin of helping return a pro-Putin, NATO-averse president to office by — for once — standing up to Trump. No longer in a leadership position he can show that his paeans to Senate’s institutional power are more than words.

I'm sorry, but I just can't continue to listen to (and read) what Trump and his cronies are up to. It's nerve-rattling. I fear we are losing our country as we have known it all our lives.

I'm on it! bsky.app/profile/davi...

"Trump owns the Republican party. Russia has a vested interest in electing Trump. Ergo, the Republican party will do whatever it can to help Russia’s intelligence operations." From Feb 2024, before anyone imagined Tulsi Gabbard would oversee intelligence.

Scary…!

“In America, we jail people only for having committed criminal offenses that they are found guilty of by a unanimous jury of their peers. We don’t jail people for doing their jobs and living up to their constitutional oaths of office.” — Rep. Jamie Raskin www.thebulwark.com/p/by-all-mea...

To Jack Smith, Chris Wray, and anyone else thinking of just obeying in advance: STOP. Our system depends on there being a political cost for breaking things. If Trump wants to fire the FBI Director or fire the Special Counsel prosecuting him, make him do it. Stop doing his work for him!

I hope the Senate hears this important message.
